Guest guest
I am stumped... My always happy, always smiling, easy-going baby has had a drastic change in personality in the past few days. Let me say first that she had an ear infection (after a cold) and it was the first EVER in our household! God be with those of you that see those regularly! I had to finally break down and get an antibiotic, the first either of my children (age 4 and 1) has ever seen. Well, I thought one had developed in the other ear, as she sure had the symptoms, poking at her ear occasionally, sporatic fever, whiney, ornery, minimal appetite, different sleep patterns... I took her in again and both ears were clear. It's been about a week now of this. The doc was thinking maybe teething, but nothing looks remotely close to coming through. Plus, I use chamomilla for teething, which always works, and it did nothing. And, she really has no teething 'symptoms', nor have her other 7 teeth bothered her like this. She is impossible to please. Mind you, Savana is the picture perfect happy all the time baby, or WAS! She fusses constantly. Wants to be by me more than anyone, to the point that I can't even pee w/o her crying and trying to climb me. It's been a couple days since I've seen any fever or ear poking, but all other 'symptoms' remain. Even when I'm down trying to play w/her, she whines and pushes toys away and crawls whining to me. She whines thru her meals. She whines thru diaper changing. Even when I hold her, she whines and pushes away at times. Her older sister, who can always occupy her and play with her, irritates her too. Literally anywhere we go, anything we do, she remains this way. She's had no changes in foods or lifestyle, nothing whatsoever that I can attribute this too. Anyone have any suggestions????? Thanx! Guest guest
any signs of stool change, color, consistancy, smell? or vaginal discharge, change in color, smell or clarity in urine? Any signs of itching around genitals. Thick tongue coating/thrush signs in mouth? The antibiotics may have created yeast infection/ GI problems. A change/addition to diet may help. bob --- mya909 <danpam wrote: > I am stumped... > > My always happy, always smiling, easy-going baby has > had a drastic > change in personality in the past few days. > > Let me say first that she had an ear infection > (after a cold) and it > was the first EVER in our household! Guest guest
How about a chiropractic adjustment. I found this really helped my infant/baby. They also get nerves pinching that need to be relieved. Hope this helps. Marti Sunland, CA mya909 wrote: I am stumped...
