Kefir is hundreds years old drink and the best known is in Russia and Balkan. It is much healthier than yogurt and people that lived 120 years in Russia claimed that they drink kefir the whole life. I make my own kefir. Buy organic milk and kefir starter. It is easy. And great

something called " kefir " , off-list. I copy the information here so that

you all can read it, and I would love anybody's feedback on the validity of

this data, and/or your own personal experiences with the stuff. Any info

Re: [herbal remedies] Re: probiotics--Kefir?

Jumping out of lurk mode here... first of all, just let me say I am thoroughly enjoying this site you all are all so knowledgeable! I have been too busy reading the posts and making notes that I havent had time to introduce myself. My name is Kim and I am a 36 year young mother of two teenage boys and a daughter. I am very happily married and we all enjoy using herbs both in cooking as well as for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Now on to what brought me out of my corner <G>... where does one buy kefir?? I have never heard of it. I am very interested in learning more about this. Thanks in advance,KimPS....I love the "feel" of this list. There are such positive energies flowing through here. It feels like one big family and I hope to become a part of it!
