Guest guest
Dear Skybyrd, Michael, Jay, and everyone else; The first thing I have to say here is, SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I certainly don't fault you for bringing up the subject Skybyrd, as your question is a valid one and worth answering. However, your diatribe Michael shocked the hell outa me, and I've not seen such a mis-emotional, illogical response in ages. My first thought is that someone else is using your e-mail address and trying to make you look bad, because the post with your name on it certainly does so. There is no logical evaluation in it whatsoever, only a childish, uninforming rebuttal. I eat RAW, ORGANIC eggs every day, and so do literally hundreds of my patients, and if this makes you feel that I and my patients are "Disgusting", "Perverted", and "Indecent" (as you so bluntly put), and that you no longer wish to communicate with us (well over 75 of HR list members are also my patients), then that is your choice and you are free to leave the list if you so wish and go "Puke" elsewhere, because I sure as hell ain'ta gonna withold my communication about something I've done a tremendous amount of research on. I'll "talk" about it all I wish and discuss the pros and cons till the cows come home. Your choice! Skybyrd and Jay: As far as your question Skybyrd, and your contribution Jay, is concerned, I have the following to say which hopefully answers the both of you. #1. I was a r of Dr. Mercola's newsletter for quite some time until I deduced (for myself) that he was just toooooo allopathic. Quite often he will blindly quote mainstream, allopathic research with little to no personal research of his own on certain subjects. The article that you quoted is a good example of this as it comes from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition as you so aptly represented at the end of the article. #2. I point out to you the section in the article where it talks about the "bacteria" in the large intestine. It is obvious to me that the eggs used in this "experiment" were COMMERCIAL eggs. Why? Because the cooked eggs did not create the problems that the raw eggs did and yet in real life, the use of ORGANIC RAW EGGS has never created this problem in all my years of experience or in the experience of such stalwarts as Dr. Bernard Jensen and others. And what do we know about COMMERCIAL eggs?? They are loaded with Steroids, Hormones, and ANTIBIOTICS! Cooking destroys enzymes. It also changes the bio-chemical properties of most foods. It only stands to reason that eating cooked COMMERCIAL eggs is better for you than eating RAW COMMERCIAL eggs. I certainly haven't been in a lab to personally check out the antibiotic level in a RAW COMMERCIAL egg, but I'd be willing to bet that the destruction of bacteria in the large intestine is due to the antibiotic level of the COMMERCIAL RAW EGGS, and that this biotin ruse is nothing more than another allopathic blind alley to throw further confusion into an already thoroughly confused area. My informed opinion is that this act is deliberate. #3. In my taped lecture, I recommend the use of ORGANIC RAW EGGS. I don't know if I can say this loud, long and hard enough, but THERE IS A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALL ORGANIC AND COMMERCIALLY GROWN FOODS WHETHER OR NOT IT BE MEATS, VEGETABLES, OR FRUITS. I will post to the files shortly after I send this one off, a study that was done by Rutgers University on ORGANIC vs. COMMERCIAL. I do this somewhat reluctantly as I hate like the dickens to refer to "AUTHORITY", and prefer for people to make their own observations and then make their own decisions, but the research was top notch and was even done from the viewpoint that there couldn't be that much of a difference between COMMERCIAL and ORGANIC. Their results astounded even the researchers themselves. #4. Jay, your article is from a government source and is obviously from research done on COMMERCIAL EGGS. Several years ago when I was personally researching this great debate, I called and talked to a couple of dozen doctors (MDs) to see what their experience was with Salmonella. Not one of the two dozen or so that I talked to had ever handled a case. It would be an interesting survey of HR members to find out how many of them personally know of someone who has had Salmonella. When compared to the actual population of the United States, the occurrence of Salmonella is very, very low. Additionally, in most cases, the actual handling of the condition is no more serious than the handling of a cold. Now, before someone flies off the handle on that one, please note that I said, "in most cases". Some people have died from the condition, but then again, some people have died from a cold as well. In COMMERCIAL poultry environments, Salmonella is rampant and they have to use antibiotics just to keep the hens / layers alive. I have personally witnessed some of these operations and these chickens are kept in a small cubicle in which they can not move even an inch. Their sole purpose is to lay eggs, and when their production drops even a tiny amount for whatever reason (including a slow down because of molting), they are slaughtered, ground up, and then fed back to the hens still laying to increase their production. If you want to puke (since the subject of puking was previously brought up), go see one of these operations and you'll never eat COMMERCIAL eggs again. Furthermore, it is not uncommon for certain government agencies to "stretch" or "misrepresent" a statistic for some agenda or other when it comes to health. One has to ask the question, "Are the giant pharmaceuticals getting anything out of this or not?". As an humorous example of bending statistics: In Catron County New Mexico, where I live, we had a sudden increase in the number of State Troopers added to our area and the number of traffic tickets given out became unreal. We locals complained and a public meeting was called. The State Troopers maintained that Socorro district had one of the highest accident rates in all of NM and that the increase of troopers was warranted. Now at first glance this might appear logical until you add the factor that this district allotment "Socorro" was their designation and not due to geographical assignment other than the fact that we needed to be covered by somebody. Catron County is the second largest county in NM and the sixth largest in the US, and there's not even one traffic light in the whole county. There's more elk in the county than people for heaven's sake, but because we were connected to the Socorro district (Socorro's over 70 miles away), he could throw this stat at us as if it was relevant. I then asked the sargeant who was representing the troopers if he knew that the town of Mangas NM was so evil that several years ago, it had a 50% murder rate. In 1992 half of the population had been viciously murdered. I then informed him that only two people lived in the town at the time but that it was an interesting statistic. He got the picture and so did the rest of the residents. In closing this debate, I can only reiterate what I've said to so many for so long a time. You need to observe these things for yourselves. You need to observe, think, evaluate and decide for yourself. The Medicos and Pharmaceuticals are not your friend and everything they do or say is suspect. I don't think you'd be here on this list if you didn't already know this or had some inkling of it. If I say, "EAT RAW ORGANIC EGGS", then check it out for yourself. Don't just do it because "Doc" says to do it. Ask yourself questions such as, "Do I feel better when I do such and such a program?", or "Am I getting healthier if I follow a particular advice?", or "How do I feel now that I've done a certain action?". Your own personal experience is worth far more to you than all of the advice by all of the so called "Authorities" in the entire world. In the final analysis, it is you who lives your life. No one else can really live it for you. If you feel better after having eaten raw organic eggs, and you now have more energy, and you don't feel as sick as you used to, doesn't this mean more to you than some two-bit article written by some puppet of the pharmaceuticals??? I wish I could get into this in even greater detail, and as time allows, I shall. Just remember this old saying, "the proof of the pudding is in the makings". If something works, it works. Just because some "Scientific Authority" comes along and tells you, "Wellllllll - really it doesn't work", doesn't mean you have to believe him, you just have to get into the habit of telling these boys where to go ;o) I hope this answers it for y'all. Much love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington
