Guest guest
What is a good natural remedy for heartburn/acid indigestion? I have taken Tums for more years than I can count and there appears to be no end in sight. Thanks, Michael --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Hi Michael, I had bad heartburn for years, then I stopped it by eating according to the blood type food lists. See: http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~sshapiro/ER4YT/FoodLists_TOC.html Scroll down and select your race, and then your blood type. Print them out and keep a copy with you in the grocery store, restaurants, etc., until you're familiar with them enough to go it on your own. Try following them strictly for one month, and see what you think. Then identify the food you most hated to give up (from Page 4) and sit down to eat some. Pay careful attention to your body for the next three days and then you'll know for sure what that food does to you. You can try a different one every 4 days, but take them one at a time. That's how you can learn what your own body wants to tell you. A food lasts three days in your system. If your blood is O or B, D'Adamo says you have too much stomach acid. But if it's A or AB he says you have too little. I'm an AB and I've noticed if I have pineapple, lemon or grapefruit (or juice) at breakfast, I feel better all day. My chiropractor (and friend) explained to me that the first 1/3 of our digestion needs to be acid. When it's acid enough, it drops down to the next level which is alkaline. When it's alkaline enough, it drops down to the last level, which is acid. If you lack enough stomach acid, he explained, then the food sits on your stomach (top level) too long, and it ferments there. This causes gas, and the gas bubbles push the acid up your esophagus. This seems like you have too much acid, because you really are being acid burned. But the trouble can actually be a lack of acid. He talked me into trying a digestive enzyme that contains HCL -- the same acid that's in our stomachs anyway. I was really scared to try it, but it worked (and at that point I'd had heartburn constantly for two whole weeks). But since I've switched onto the food lists, I haven't had any further trouble at all -- unless I violate them. If I know I'm going to violate them, I take one of those enzymes and it really does the trick. Anyway, I'd say it's a good bet you're regularly eating foods that don't agree with you and that you'll find them on that Page 4. Good luck and let us know how this goes for you, okay? If you're like me and the other folks I know who've tried it, you'll feel better in ways you never imagined. Melinda herbal remedies, " Michael D. I looked at the list and already see that bananas may be the problem. I usually eat one or more a day. My mom always told me bananas are good for you, they have potassium which every healthy body needs. Live and learn! :-) In Kindness, Michael Michael D. Guest guest
Dear Michael, I appreciate the fact that you are enjoying being a part of our list, but I suggest you read the list policies one more time. The quickest ways to be permanently banned from this list are: 1. Advertising any MLM. (Instant banning with no recourse for reinstatement). 2. Advertising any other list. (Depending on the circumstances, a warning might be given). 3. Advertising any personally made product or personalized service for SALE. (as in #2). 4. Using an URL in a signature line or using any signature which leads to any of the above. This list is for educational purposes only. It is for the FREE dissemination of true and workable data. There are many professionals and students who volunteer their time on this list to simply HELP people without any thought of recompense. And as long as you adhere to the policies covering the above, you are welcome. Violate it again and . . . Guest guest
Our situation is a little unclear. As you know, we recently revised our main website extensively. There are some products available, but the majority of the material is educational. Now, i have another web address where i've been dumping purely educational material that's not directly related to music. We've been considering the idea of setting this site up as a purely educational site, with no products on it at all. But there would necessarily have to be a link somewhere back to our main focused site. Under these circumstances, would it be ok to have the address of the second site in a sig line on this list? The email program i nomally use has an option to blank out the sig line on a post by post basis, but this is a hassle and sometimes i forget to do that. I really want some of my writings on science, environmental handling, and health to be readily available to members of this list, even though i don't really sell anything related to this material any more.
