Guest guest
Hi Sara: I juiced 8 to 10 cloves of garlic almost daily for more than 2 months along with carrot juice when I noticed my fungus was gone. My aim during this period was the carrot juice, with the garlic juice included for whatever "added benefit" that I could gain. My juicer is a twin gear juicer, which I think is significantly better for getting as much juice as possible out of garlic cloves. (In fact, this particular juicer is advertised as getting more juice from everything than all other juicers, except for the Norwalk which is a $2000 item. No, I don't sell juicers, just use them.) I also had my fungus disappear after about 5 or 6 months of 4 to 5 cloves of raw garlic a day. I relapsed on the garlic, and the fungus came back. I am currently juicing a globe of garlic (12-15 cloves) a day in my carrot juice. My guess is that ingestion of significant amounts of garlic for 3 to 6 months should clear it out of the blood and take care of the re-infections. I know of no long-term disadvantage of eating/juicing garlic - EXCEPT - it does reduce blood sugar levels, and is not recommended for hypoglycemic people. I have also read that it may reduce the intestinal flora, but have not personally had any ill effects because of that. It has been used in mega doses for all sorts of ills in place of anti-biotics, including malaria (which is caused by a parasite in the blood stream) but have never seen any adverse side effects except the blood sugar levels. I have never even seen any study that says that it kills intestinal flora, only conjecture. Don't want to stink 24/7? Hmmmm. You could spend the rest of your life on a mountain top in a loin cloth (with a life time supply of garlic); divorce your partner/family/associates; move to Korea where you will simply blend in with the crowd; or perhaps take a dreaded pill - chlorophyll. Some folks say that eating parsley works too, but I haven't found that to be true. Actually, I don't find that the garlic juice produces as much of the "stink" as eating it raw. Yet I am currently a WOP (with out partner) so I don't know for sure. Don't you find it rather amazing that friends and family tolerate a cigarette smoker, a tipster, and those with substantial BO, but trash you if you have garlic on your breath? I sure do. Good luck on whatever you do. Jay <<So can anyone recommend a good way that I can make a garlic remedy for internal fungus/yeast problems? Also, I'd like to know how much of it I should be taking, and for how long (ie, permanently, or should one take a break after a few months?).>>
Guest guest
Hi All: I have *got* to do something about my fungus problem. Continuous full-strength applications of tea tree oil have kept my topical " spots " under control for the time being (thanks for the tip Michael!), but it's become obvious that it's internal and systemic with me. I'd like to take garlic for this -- I eat lots of garlic anyway, but not medicinal doses. Can anybody tell me what the best way to ingest garlic is for fungus control? I'd like to do this long-term, which means I'd rather not just eat the cloves (my usual method for colds, flus etc.) because I'll be stinky 24/7! Also, I really hate pills, especially buying them! *lol* So can anyone recommend a good way that I can make a garlic remedy for internal fungus/yeast problems? Also, I'd like to know how much of it I should be taking, and for how long (ie, permanently, or should one take a break after a few months?). Thanks so much all! --Sara T., huge garlic fan httpd://www.boredmail.com
Guest guest
Hi Sara, After a lifetime of being given antibiotics at least once a year, eating sugar, wheat, and flour, I finally wound up in an out and out battle with systemic yeast problems for over a year. I completely changed my diet tried taking various things like pau d'arco, oregano oil, aloe vera, acidophilous, garlic, you name it. It all helped but my overgrowth was extensive and it didn't get rid of it completely. Then I did Doc's total body cleanse. Within 1 week I felt the difference. After finishing the cleanse I did another candida test to check my levels. The normal range for this test is between 0-600. My test came back at a 10!!! A 10!!! Unbelievable. A couple of months later, I'm aware that I need to be vigilant about my diet and I take the total tonic formula daily (just made up my first batch last month which came out great!) and I'm taking acidophilous again to help repair and rebuild my intestinal flora. Oh, the panther piss seems to help too. However, nothing compares to the results I got doing the cleanse. I highly recommend it.
