Guest guest
I'll post this to the group in case anyone else wants it; my apologies if it's a waste of mailbox-space for some of you! Sara's Killer Antibiotic (fondly referred to by the hubby as the " Stink Bomb " ). This is a super-simple recipe, one of the first I ever learned, but it's never stopped coming in handy. 1/3 part each Echinacea, Garlic, and Marshmallow root. (NOTE: When I intend to use this primarily internally, I've been known to replace the M. Root with Yarrow to give it an extra kick. I've heard of Ginger being used here, too. But for external use, it's nice to have a soothing ingredient to counter that garlic. Just my opinion.) Grind to powder, cover with strong alcohol, shake daily and brew 2-6 weeks (I suppose you could go longer, but I've never been that patient) and press. Makes a *STINKY* brown liquid that just does amazing things for cuts, scrapes, boils, insect bites, fresh tattoos/piercings or infected anythings. Also 10-30 drops 3x/day for colds, flus, kidney-bladder-or-UT infections, and from what I've experienced, anything you would normally use an antibiotic on (it has also been suggested to me as a remedy for food poisoning). Note: Stings a bit on open skin. Tastes like $#!^, but thanks to the garlic, is fairly palatable dissolved in hot water (I've been told it takes like diluted soup, then--but I just take it straight, and do lots of wincing). Those are the things I've used it successfully for, or that my family has (I religiously make a bottle for every household in my family every few months now). Other ideas for uses would be excellent, if anybody has 'em. I know this is a simple formula, but it's worked wonders for us! >Sara, what is the specific formula you are using here? > >Thanks >Kim > - > Sara Thustra > herbal remedies > Monday, June 24, 2002 11:28 AM > Re: [herbal remedies] boils > > > My husband and his sister inherited a tendency to get painful boils, > usually in the groin and underarms. Guest guest
I use Vodka, but from my understanding anything clear with a serious kick will do it. --ST >What kind of alcohol do you use? > >- > Sara Thustra > herbal remedies > Tuesday, June 25, 2002 8:32 AM > Re: [herbal remedies] boils -- Sara's Formula > > > I'll post this to the group in case anyone else wants it; my apologies >if > it's a waste of mailbox-space for some of you! > > Sara's Killer Antibiotic (fondly referred to by the hubby as the " Stink > Bomb " ).
