Guest guest
Well, my first several suggestions are not under the category of " natural medicine, " because I feel that the " un-natural " forms of birth control tend to work the best for MOST people (that is, fewer accidental conceptions). 1-You could get a vasectomy. 2-She could get a tubal ligation #s 1 and 2 are valid ONLY if you truly believe that you want to have no more children. I know that some people change their minds and try to get their sterilizations reversed, but this is very expensive, and it's not always effective. NOTE: I got my tubes tied when I was only 21, because I wanted NO children--EVER!--and I didn't want to take a chance on having my contraception fail. This was a very good solution for ME and for my personality, desires, and goals in life, but it's certainly not a good choice for everyone. I advocate these choices only for people who are sure that this is what they want and know that they'll never change their minds! 3-IUD (intra-uterine device) 4-diaphragm or cervical cap--usually used with a spermacide 5-Condoms And it should be noted that condoms work ESPECIALLY well when combined with an IUD, a diaphragm, or a cervical cap. Your chances of an accidental conception when combining several birth control methods can be almost nil. If your religion and/or your personal philosophy fobid using contraception, then there is something called " Natural Family Planning, " which is a version of " the rhythm method " (periodic sexual abstinence) that's combined with observations of cervical mucous, body temperature, and other ovulation indicators. Your wife can get instruction in Natural Family Planning, an IUD, a cervical cap or a diaphragm from her doctor or from a family planing clinic. Of course, condoms are readily available in most pharmacies in the USA, but I don't know what the situation is like where you're from (I presume, from the way that you phrase things in English, that you're not living in the USA). Guest guest
renante 32, there have been some great technology advances in birth control. I found that I can't reliable do the pill due to my erratic work and lifestyle schedule. Your wife needs to decide which form she is comfortable using. There is the Nuvaring, which is a ring inserted in the vagina that time releases progesterone over three weeks. I have found that to very effective as long as the user keeps track of calender dates. Its barely felt and does not negatively effect sex. If that is not a viable option, do some research online. There are other time release birth control options (shots, ortho evra patch). However, your wife needs to weigh her options with how sensitive she is to medication. If she is very sensitive to hormonal changes, proceed carefully. You may consider another option, which is male vasectomy (which is reversable). A couple that I know who under went the surgery have claimed it been quite the relief as well as the high increase of their sex life. Husband said it removed all concern of pregnancy in his mind, resulting in his increased desire. Good for them. Best wishes in you and your wife's search. > , " sg_nakila " <sg_nakila@> > wrote: > > > > Hi I am new to this group...I am guy a married man w/ a lots of > > birthing child problems... Guest guest
sg_nakila - I feel so very old reading some of these questions! If I understand you correctly you are asking how your wife can prevent getting pregnant without taking birth control pills. The obvious answer is abstinence - lol. I supposed for a 32 year old guy that is not an option. Just kidding. There are a lot of birth control methods out there other than birth control pills. Condoms? There is a procedure your wife could get where a birth control device is implanted in her arm (norplant). There is the use of a diaphram. There are injections which she can get periodically to prevent getting pregnant. There is the rhythmn method (altho I wouldn't recommend it). If you do not EVER want any children she can have her tubes tied or you could have a vasectomy. These are options her Doctor could help you both with. I personally believe that a child is the gift and the will of God. Sometimes (perhaps because of this) any birth control method can prove ineffective.
