Hello everyone

I just joined and wanted to know how to help my premenstrual problems

since I've been on Progestin already and been through the whole anti

depressant deal. I have taken evening primrose oil, but that only

helps in the beginning, and I have even drank the mineral water from

the Jermuk region of Armenia which is supposed to have healing

properties for digestive issues. I'll have to say that worked.

Any suggestions?

Barbara

There are 2 herbs I would suggest. Vitex and Dong Quai. They will balance your

hormones and fix your problem.

Vitex is AMAZING! I took that years ago for about 2 1/2 years straight. I

had suffered from irregular periods, long long periods, and serious hormone

highs and lows. I did a lot of research on that herb and started taking it.

I must share with you that this herb Vitex, like many many herbs does take a

long time to work. Be patient; nothing is overnight. But Vitex was such a

life saver for me. I have had my periods back to normal for about 6 years

now, and don't have crazy mood swings either. I stopped taking Vitex about 3

years ago, and am ok. I slowly weaned myself off of it. Do some research on

this herb.

Hi Barbara, I read your email stating that you drank mineral water from the

Jermuk region of Armenia.....it worked. What did it do for you? Do you think

it could help with IBS? Got it bad. Please reply at linda.bowman

Hi Linda,

Have you looked into Homeopathy? I had a physician (traditional and holistic)

that corrected my severe gall bladder problem and later on my perimenopause

syptoms with one dose (for each problem which occured at different times). I

know there are remedies for your situation, but I would not know exactly which

one would be appropriate for you. Hope you consider this route and can find a

homeopath. I have also used trained homeopaths that were not physicians and had

similar remarkable results.

Hello Barbara,

Synthetic Progestin orally is way different from having a natural

source absorbed through the skin. No synthetics and it doesn't have

to be digested or dealt with by the liver first. But perhaps that is

not the route you seek. There is a small book called, " A Women's

Health Resource - Making informed Decisions Through Menopause and

Beyond: It is available through Transitions for Health Women's

Institute at 1-800-455-5182 or their website is www.transitionsfor

health.com. Hope it might be helpful.
