Hello,

I am new and am looking for information for my husband. He suffers from both

Crohn's disease and IBS. He's currently trying fish oil and probiotic

supplements. Does anyone have any other information/tips/websites?

Thanks,

Barb

Hi Barb! I have IBS. Your husband my have yeast in

his intestine which my either cause his IBS or

aggrevate it. Have an intergrative doctor listen to

his symtoms and check him out. Lynn

Hi Barbara,

Crohn's is a serious disease that needs to

be tackled from several angles.

Diet, stress management and herbal support

all play a role.

It is not just a matter of " here, take this pill " ,

and be done with it.

Are you doing the GFCF diet thing?

That stands for Casein-free, gluten-free.

It is getting easier all the time, with more

cookbooks etc. Do some Googling.

If your husband is indeed sensitive to gluten,

all the herbs in the world wouldn't do him much

good unless he also modified his diet.

ITA with the Yeast factor. Crohn's leads to

leaky gut, and that in turn makes it worse, etc.

Indeed, peppermint tea is a great comforter.

But if there is a single miracle herb for Crohn's

disease it might be Una de Gato, Cat's Claw.

This link will take you to a place where you

can download part of Dr James Duke's

research into the herb.
