Lama Jigme Gyatso: Rime Manipa Tantrika

Thursday the 9th of November, 2006

Love and Relax

I was recently asked:

“Hi Lama Jigme Gyatso,

I hope to attend a Green Tara initiation this Sunday,

any thoughts?”

Dear Mr. L,

Remember NOT to get overwhelmed

during the explanation

of the Sadhana's yogas.

A great teacher once said

that man was not created for the Sabbath

but that the Sabbath was created for man.

Likewise the goal of Tantra

is not to visualize perfectly.

Perfect visualization may OR may NOT come.

What then, is the goal of Tantra?

To transcend grasping and it's causes!

Patrul Rinpoche taught:

" ...one Dharma, Bodhichitta,

embodies ALL the practices

of the development and completion stages...

So all the Yogas of Tantra are merely tools for developing:

Devotion, Peace, Insight, Compassion, Joy and Bliss…

and Devotion, Peace, Joy and Bliss

are merely tools for developing Compassion and Insight.

We recite mantra

NOT for mere accumulation

but to " Tune-into " the Yidam

who already dwells within, as our Buddha-nature.

So, in essence my friend:

Love and Relax!

May Chen-re-zig, the Buddha of Compassion

lavish you with Love and Light and Laughter!

Om Mani Padme Hum,

Lama Jigme Gyatso: Rime Manipa Tantrika

Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta.
