Guest guest
She needs to look into the herb Black Cohosh, it works great for the hot flashes etc of menopause. Another herb to look into is Dong Quai, but I would use Black Cohosh if she only wants to take one herb instead of two...Mama DHEA Posted by: " Marci " twilli55 mtm1will Wed Nov 8, 2006 1:39 pm ((PST)) My mother is having an ongoing terrible time with menopause/hot flashes and has looked into trying DHEA...has anyone tried this or know if it is worth trying? There are so many testimonials on what works and what doesn't work, it can be mind boggling. I would suggest that she listen to those testimonials and then choose what makes sense to her. Many times women find something that will work for a while but then for many reasons it isn't permanent. Then it is time to move on to something else. She should listen to her inner self and the right solutions will make themselves known. Guest guest
Sometimes a change of attitude makes a huge difference. Menopause is a perfect example. It is a normal, natural process and need not include suffering. It is just something to work with. Be patient with yourself. Take care of yourself. Focus on good food, movement, rest, whatever brings you joy. Wear layers. When you are hot, take off a layer. When you are cold, know that soon you will have a hot flash and warm up. Keep a sense of humor.
