Guest guest
Hi! My name is Susan Mann, I'm a nurse, dog trainer, author, and Regional Educator for a company called Oxyfresh. I joined this group 'cause it looked interesting on the groups home page, and hey, what's one more group when you're already on 27 ? Mostly dog training groups, but also biodiesel, tagteaching, writing and publishing, and even some parenting groups, though I don't have any kids of my own (yet, anyway!) except for the the four legged kind. In addition to the dogs, I also have two pet rats. I'm a big believer in adaptogens, started taking a liquid supplement called Primorye over 2 years ago, and have had great results: increased energy, ability to sleep when I need to (I do the 7p-7a shift, and switching back and forth was getting much harder!) and I haven't been sick since starting it, which was not my normal pattern (I could usually count on 2-3 colds a year, at least one of which would end up as a bad bronchitis or walking pneumonia.) I recently also started taking an antioxidant complex called Lifeshots, after learning about the benefits of multiple sources of antioxidants. In the interests of full disclosure, both products are from Oxyfresh, and I am a distributor. I'm also very interested in my dog's health- the dogs are also on Primorye and an antioxidant supplement. I also feed my dogs a raw diet when I can, though not completely anymore. They get massage and chiropractor visits on a semi-regular basis- would that I took as good care of myself as I do of them! One area that I'm very interested in is hypnosis as therapy for changing thought patterns. I've got a friend who has tons of negative thougths, had really bad parental models, including a father who was emotionally abusive, and she is just always down on herself. This is spite of the fact that she's very bright, had a successful career (she's now retired, looking for a second career), has a loving husband and a beautiful home, and has had moderate success in competing with her dogs. She's been in therapy for years, but doesn't seem to be able to change her thought processes. I do vision work myself, creating a mental picture of myself being successful in various areas, but she's not shown any interest in that.
