Guest guest
Muscle Pain I have a question that I'm sending out to all the groups I belong to that also include " alternative healing methods " , other than and including essential oils. The last several weeks (the last two being the worst) I have had muscular pain that is constant. It is mostly located in my upper body and arms. I can't even lift my left arm because of the sharp pain that shoots from shoulder to bicep. But, even if I am not lifting my arm the pain (almost like a spasm) is there. The slightest movement causes pain. The same symptoms are also in my upper and lower back muscles. The same scenario…. I have used essential oils to relieve pain ( but they do not work), I've used ointments and creams that I've bought at health stores, again to no avail. I'm just not sure what else to try. My Chiropractor says NOT to use heat, but it seems to relieve the pain for a short time. I've tried ice for inflammation, but neither of this work for very long either. It's not like I haven't had this problem before, but it is usually after working in the yard or doing something more strenuous than I should and then I suffer for it the next few days. This time I haven't done anything (that I can remember ha ha), but the pain is there. Any suggestions or ideas on WHY the muscle pain and what if anything I could try internally or externally to relieve it? Or is this something I should go to the doctor for, AND what kind of a doctor should I go to? I look forward to your comments and suggestions. I'm hoping that someone will have a treatment or suggestion that will relieve this pain. Thank you for your time. Please always feel free to email me off group if you choose. But, if this is not a topic that has been discussed before, it might help others as well. Health and Blessings Gail
Guest guest
You are probably EXTREMELY short of magnesium. We all are, but some are more physically effected than others. Muscle pain is a big sign of lack of mag. There are many forms of magnesium, tablets, pills, liquid (milk of magnesia!) but many forms are not easily absorbed by the body. There are a few products that can be taken orally and externally--using both methods is the very best. I can send you a couple of pages of information and research on magnesium that I have if you are interested in further reading. A short answer, if you'd rather not do a lot of research on your own, but still want a direction for seeking out a good product--I'm including a snippet of a post by someone on another list (this person is very honest). Someone was asking about a product that was suppose to help with magnesium and her reply was {I sell homozon and the answer is No. It is magnesium oxide and was chosen as a nascent oxygen carrier specifically because it does not absorb well. It is the crudest form of magnesium around. Magnesium orotate, on the other hand, is an excellent form of magnesium for getting well into the system. It gets into the cells into the inner parts of the cells. Other mags barely pass the gut into the blood stream. Some make it to the outside of the cell but never make it inside the cell. Others make it inside the cell but not inside the organs of the cell. Orotate goes all the way in) So look for a product with orotate. Her doctors gave her all kinds of medicine that didn't help at all , we tried all kinds of stuff from the health food store with no help at all. It was around Nov. late Nov. and my brother in law asked us if we wanted to go down to Florida for a couple of months. We weren't going to go at first because of her pain in her shoulder and arm. We decided what the heck we might as well go so we did. Three days after we got to Florida , three days after we got there my wife was talking with her sister and friends and she was talking with her hands and swinging her arms . Then she realized what she was doing she had her right hand over her head waving it back and forth and saying Holy smoke my arm doesn't hurt anymore or my shoulder . That was in 1997 and she hasn't been bothered since. My advice is take a vacation and go to Florida right now and maybe it will help you. We were in Polk City about 50 miles south of Orlando. While there go to the town of Clearwater and see the Blessed Mother and Jesus burned on the side of a big building. When we went we prayed at this place. It was an insurance company but they donated it to the people that go there for help. It's worth a try . If you want to talk to my wife call her on the phone. She doesn't know I'm writing this to you so if you get her on the phone explain to her who you are and how you got her number. Her name is Linda and the phone is 315-732-5178 Good luck , Wayne > I have a question that I'm sending out to all the groups I belong to > that also include " alternative healing methods " , other than and > including essential oils. > > The last several weeks (the last two being the worst) I have had > muscular pain that is constant. Guest guest
Hello Gail! I was having alot of muscle aches in my legs. Some times the cramps would really be hurting me. Then I started taking this product called Coral Calcium and I'll be darned if it didn't help me tremendously. I also take a product with Limu Moui in it. If you haven't read the BreakThroughs in Health Magazine for October, the whole magazine is about Limu and Fucoidan. Wonderful, I've had nothing but good results. Let me know if I can help you any further. If you'd like info on where to find the products I can get that to you so you can read up on it! Talk to you soon. hope this helped. Many Blessings! Guest guest
Nature's gift to mankind - Noni fruit. It seems that many of us are not aware of Noni fruit / juice. It is the best gift of the nature to the humankind. Giving below some details of Noni. Log in to : www.noniassociation.net for more information and testimonials on Noni. HEALTH BENEFITS AND TRADITIONAL USE OF NONI Noni is believed to have arrived in Tahiti, Hawaii, and other Pacific islands at least 1,500 years ago, coming eastward from India and surrounding regions. Who brought the plant to those areas? Though it is not known for sure, experts believe that it could have been immigrants from the Marquesas Islands that introduced Noni to those areas. There is ample evidence to suggest that these ancient Polynesians (as well as their descendants) used Noni for food; for cloth dye; and most importantly, for its medicinal properties. Numerous papers, citing hundreds of references, show Noni to be an extremely popular plant among tropical cultures across the world. In fact, the Noni plant became so popular that it eventually was cultivated as a field crops, used for all parts of the plant. Of course, Indian natives also used Morinda Citrifolia for its fantastic therapeutic benefits: Most of the plant is reported to possess medicinal properties. The root is used as a cathartic and febrifuge (fever-reducing agent), and applied externally to relieve pain in gout. Leaves are considered a tonic and febrifuge; they are used as a healing application for wounds and ulcers; the juice of the leaves is externally applied for gout. Fruits are used for spongy gums, throat complaints, dysentery, leucorrhoea (abnormal menstrual bleeding) and sapraemia (poisoning of the blood by bacterial putrefaction). " Numerous other reports provide a detailed picture of precisely how Noni has been used throughout the years. In Fiji, the fruit is eaten either raw or cooked. " Niue Islanders ate it regularly, and I have been told that the Filipinos made a jam from it, preferring the taste when it was fermented " . Other sources report that Australian aborigines were very fond of the fruit. In Burma, the unripe fruits were cooked in curries, and the ripe fruits were consumed raw with salt. Even the seeds were roasted and eaten. (Noni fruits) are used in Nigeria in the treatment of fever, malaria, yellow fever, jaundice and dysentery. " Still other histories report that " The over ripe fruit is stated to be used as an emmenagogue (encourages vomiting), and is recommended by Rumpf for dysuria (painful urination) and the fruit for diabetes. The fruit is sometimes used internally in various preparations for swollen spleen, liver diseases, coughs and a slightly laxative preparation. *Most of the information in this site is from the book: " The Noni Phenomenon " by Neil Solomon The table below contains statistical analysis of the data, including primary and secondary application that Dr. Solomon obtained from surveying more than 40 doctors and other health professionals who had taken noni and/or given it to over 8,000 patients. " It is a well-know fact that the body absorbs liquids faster and more effectively than solids. Absorption is a very important thing to consider when taking natural supplements. " Dr. Neil Solomon M.D. Ph.D. Reasons to Drink Noni Juice - by Dr. Neil Solomon M.D. Ph.D. 1. Prevent and Protect Against Cancer -- Morinda citrifolia might exert a preventative and protective action against cancer during the initiation stage, which is the first phase of the formation of the cancer. Many feel antioxidant activity is an important function of Noni juice and one of the reasons so many people have reported success with cancer while using the juice. 2. Alleviates Symptoms of Arthritis -- There are several ways in which Noni may alleviate the undesirable symptoms of arthritis. Pain is the number one complaint with arthritis. Because Noni has analgesic qualities, it can help relieve this pain. Morinda citrifolia has also been shown to contain scopoletin, which has anti-inflammatory and histamine-inhibiting effects, both of which are excellent for the promotion of smooth joint movement. The cellular-enhancing qualities of Noni may also minimize damage to the joints and other involved tissues. 3. Fights Heart Disease -- Noni juice can help with high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. Some scientists believe that Xeronine can help promote a healthy cell structure within the circulatory system. Noni juice can also lessen the symptoms of heart disease. 4. Lowers High Blood Pressure -- In my research, 85 percent of Noni juice drinkers reported decreased blood pressure while drinking Noni juice. 5. Strengthens the Immune System -- Noni juice boosts the overall immune system of the body and helps to maintain optimal health. Noni may help modulate a healthy immune system by either enhancing an already functioning system, by stimulating the components of a sluggish one, or by decreasing an overactive immune system. The mechanism by which Noni can do these different functions is called Adatogenisis. 6. Reduces Symptoms of Fibromyalgia -- Many people who suffer from Fibromyalgia experience loss of energy. An increase in energy from Noni is a very positive side effect from the juice. Seventy0seven percent of people with Fibromyalgia reported lessened symptoms after they began drinking Noni juice. 7. Fortifies Cell Structure -- Noni is believed to fortify and maintain cell structure. This can be accomplished by Noni helping the body heal itself and because Noni can aid " sick " cells in repairing themselves. 8. Helps Control Diabetes -- Noni can aid in the regulation of insulin secretion by the pancreas, helping control diabetes. Drinking Noni may also help relieve diabetic symptoms through its ability to stimulate the body's production of nitric oxide. Both may also be important factors in decreasing symptoms such as poor circulation and vision problems. 9. Reduces Symptoms of Asthma -- Noni may help in reducing the severity of the symptoms of asthma by boosting and modulating the immune system and enhancing the cellular structure of the bronchioles. 10. Fights Depression -- Noni's ability to modulate natural bio-chemicals such as brain hormones might be why many people have felt less depress after drinking Noni juice. 11. Offers Pain Relief -- Some scientists believe that Noni is associated with the body's production of a very important biochemical known as seratonin, which may involve the xeronine system that is believed to promote the body's ability to ward off pain. 12. Helps Promote Weight Loss -- Noni may help you lose weight by promoting better sleep, aiding in the regulation of blood sugar levels, and by boosting the number of antioxidants in the body. 13. Helps Control ADHD -- Noni may be helpful for this condition in both children and adults thought its ability to modulate the production of some of he chemicals in the brain as well as increase overall cellular health in the brain. 14. Helps Treat Migraines -- Preliminary results show that there is a non/seratonin relationship. Studies suggest that Noni juice was clinically helpful in the treatment of migraines. 15. Successful in the Treatment of Addictions -- Noni juice has been said to be successful in the treatment of addictions to heroine, cocaine, marijuana, nicotine, alcohol, prescription drug use and caffeine. 16. Protects Against Strokes -- Noni may help inhibit premature coagulation in the blood, preventing platelets form clumping together into clots associated with strokes. 17. Lowers Cholesterol -- Noni is a potent free radical scavenger that can contribute to lower cholesterol levels and prevents LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) from oxidizing. 18. Increases Memory -- Noni may be used by the brain to encode long-term memory and enhance blood flow to the brain. 19. Strengthens the Nervous System -- Noni functions as a " messenger molecule " that may allow nerve cells in the body and the brain to communicate effectively. 20. Encourages Detoxification -- Noni can increase the rate of liver detoxification by more than 50 percent. 21. Improves Skin Condition -- Noni can be used topically. Its anti-inflammatory and histamine-inhibiting effects can help fight allergies, skin conditions and inflammation. Some facts about Noni a.. Decades of ground breaking scientific research. b..
