Guest guest
Hi ~ am new to the group and after only going through the messages in one digest, I'm very grateful I found this group. Can you tell me where I can find more info on eliminating gluten? I don't know enough about enough to know what foods, etc. are gluten- free. Also, the post on mouth thrush was very helpful. My dentist gave me an Rx that cost $165 and didn't clear the problem about two months ago. He wants to see me again and I've been hoping for an alternative to more synthetics. I am a cancer (lung) surviver and had some breast calcifications removed a few years ago. My husband died in November 2005 from lung cancer and emphesema. My re-check xrays and mammogram are coming up next week. If anything re-occurs, I can't tell you how grateful I am to know there's somewhere I can turn for advice on alternative 'treatment'. Both my kids and my doctor know I do not ever want chemo or radiation. I also have that in writing. A friend of mine extended her life by several years after being told she 'had three months' with macrobiotic diet. I saw the color of her skin return, her spirits life, and a quality of life in her remaining years that would have been robbed had she continued chemotherapy. There's so much I don't know about alternatives but one thing I DO know is that I would rather take responsibility for myself and go natural and alternative. I tested positive for hyperthyroidism last week and have an appointment Tuesday to see the doc so he can tell me his recommendation for treatment of this condition. Have been having eye discomfort and increase in floaters recently. Eye doctor explained what's going on and I've read it might be connected to problems with the thyroid. Anything in the alternative area that is recommended for hyperthyroidism? Geez. Turned 65 in September and have all these new body happenings. Might as well dump it all while I'm on a roll ... still a smoker. quit/start/tried a ton of things. Anything herbal, natural, helpful that I might consider? Am right now praying for the willingness to relly want to quit. Hate that I do ... Thanks for listening to my ramble. This is an awesome group. gloria
Guest guest
" The problem with Tobacco is the Nicotine content combined with the smoking of it creates toxins which you inhale. See; it is not smoking that is bad; it is Tobacco that is bad. I would suggest replace the Tobacco with An Herbal Cigarette which you can buy at any Health Food Store. Remember; smoking is not the culprit; The Tobacco is...so you want to get the Tobacco out of your Life. Substitue with: " Herbal Teas; Herbal Inscence;Yoga;Walks in Woods;Hot Baths;Vits. *Choline is the Nutrient kwnon to help stop smoking. Ask Pharmacy. Guest guest
Hi Gloria, welcome here! You asked: Can you tell me where I can find more info on eliminating gluten? I don't know enough about enough to know what foods, etc. are gluten- free. Gloria, : Google it! Look at these sites. www.glutenfree.com/ http://glutenfreediet.ca Glad the thrush post was useful, let us know how you do with the vinegar! As for the smoking, try Emotional Freedom Technique. Try it on anything, but especially on problems that obviously have a large emotional component. This link goes straight to the section on addictions. http://tinyurl.com/uw2np Enjoy the site and be prepared to spend some time going Oh WOW!
