Guest guest
This may sound strange but after many periods of thinking too much, after the lavender and chamomile ,when lying in bed think of your body frelaxing into the mattress and then then mattress into the floor and keep attaching the next level until you finally are at the core of the earth. What happens is you will stop some of that repeated thinking when directing your thoughts to something else. Also, you are grounding your self and the slower breathing happens just naturally. I really do hope this little bit will help you get some deserved rest physically and emotionally. Peace, Courtney Check out the New Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
A very good friend of mine helped me out when I had the mind spins when trying to sleep. She said to bore myself to sleep by starting with the letter " A " and going through the alphabet. I never got past " D " . So start with " A " . Pick a word like " apple " . In your mind think about everything you know about an apple. The different colours, tectures, tastes, it has a core, seeds, stem. It grows on trees with leaves...you get the idea. Think of everything you can about an apple and when you can't think of anything else go to the letter " B " . This forces your mind to stop thinking about what it was obsessing about and literally you fall asleep. I've used this for years and it's never failed me. Hope this helps!
