All,

I recently researched for a friend with arthritis, and I found this list of

foods, herbs and spices that have naturally occuring aspirin. (Salicylates)

The article was from this site

_http://www.sciencenews.org/pages/sn_arc97/10_18_97/food.htm_

(http://www.sciencenews.org/pages/sn_arc97/10_18_97/food.htm) , and was about

allergies. However, if someone were to want an

alternative to aspirin, some of these MIGHT be good as subtitutes, or if

someone is

already taking aspirin as therapy, or have an allergy to it, perhaps they

would be wise to know about this list. (

why not just use aspirin. can cause some stomach problems but in the small

doses which are the benficial long term doses it rarely does.
