Guest guest
HI, all -- we were given some fish oil " softgels " by my dad, and the list on the back of the container includes the following: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose Phthalate, triacetin, ethylcellulose, sodium alginate, ammonium hydroxide, medium chain triglyceride... I don't know, but it sounds really nasty to me, and we haven't plucked up the courage to try the fish oil capsules yet. Does anyone know what all these things are?? Cheers Andrea NZ
Guest guest
Hello: I wrote my reply last night but I guess it didn't go through. My reply is: Many of the chemcials you mention are prob. in the Capsule of the Fish Oil and not in the actual Fish Oil. I know for a fact that methycellulose is a component of Gel-Caps. My advice is this: *You could prob. safely give the caps to your Pets at the dosage of one per day; Fish Oil is good for the Eyes/fur/skin. If not: you could take a pin and make a small hole in the Fish-Oil Caps and then squeeze the Fish-Oil onto a cotton ball. Then use The Fish-Oil on the cotton ball to: a. dab it on any sores on your pets fur. b. Use it on your own skin; such as on a pimple. Or throw them away and buy a better brand. However; I am pretty sure all *Fish Oil Cps use chems. in their Caps. The best brand of Fish-Oil I know of is: *Bumble Bee Fish-Oil caps; this is a new product; I recommend this because due to Bumble Bee Tuna is prob. the biggest Fish Co. on earth; wouldn't the biggest and Best Fish Co. have the best Fish Oil? The chemicals in the caps are minor; The Fish Oil is very Healing (Fish Oil is also sometimes called: Fish Oil Pre-formed Vitamin A.) .. , Andrea Gauland <dreaquince wrote: > > HI, all -- we were given some fish oil " softgels " by my dad, and the > list on the back of the container includes the following: hydroxypropyl > methylcellulose Phthalate, triacetin, ethylcellulose, sodium alginate, > ammonium hydroxide, medium chain triglyceride... Guest guest
, Andrea Gauland Sounds like they need to go in the trash can. There is to much man made stuff in them. Jarrow makes some of the best on the market. I had to stop taking them though because they give me heart palpitations so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. Hope this helps.
