For one thing, babies receive a dose of probiotics during their voyage through the birth canal. C-section babies miss out on that. If you know anyone with a C section baby who is colicky, do them a big favor and turn them on to http://natren.com Natren has a probiotic formula specially for infants and tons of information on why the right flora/fauna in your gut is such a vital step to good health. Also: We are hardwired to go through the birth process with a certain amount of work. If that work did not happen, parts of our system are still unconsciously waiting to be called up. Here is a fascinating article on something called the Spinal Galant Reflex, that can cause all sorts of havoc if it is not used during birth. If someone reading this was a C-section baby or had one, don't despair: Brain Gym (and probably EFT) can help. http://centeredge.com/ArticPDF/Galant.pdf Ien in the Kootenays http://profiles./free_green_living
Guest guest
Natren has only three types of probiotic per capsule in the best formula they sell. There are a total of 13 lactobaccillus bacteria needed to grow colonies in the gut/intestines and create an environment for the substrains to grow. This is a very expensive product for what you're getting. We use In-Liven which contains all 13 strains, all the essential amino acids the body needs to build proteins (next to water babies are mainly made of proteins). In-Liven floods the body with nutrients from 26 certified organic superfood sources. It cured my daughter's 10 years of stomach pain in less than two days when no other probiotic or any therapy did (we've tried thousands of dollars worth of treatments and supplements over the years before stumbling on this quite by chance when ordering certified organic cosmetics: www.goodskinforlife.com). I'd be happy to provide anyone who wants further information about it. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I agree with you ~ Natren, although excellent, tends to be a spendy brand. However, with all due respect, the info you state is inaccurate. I was a rep for Natren. And, there are indeed more than 13 strains of probiotics, each serving a unique purpose. There are great brands/prices available in any health food store. I highly recommend probiotics to all people ~ especially women in perimenopause and menopasue. Guest guest
Guess what I found in my archives: check out http://vitacost.com for discount in Natren's Healthy Trinity @ 35.00/bottle The reason I mentioned Natren is that they have a special infant formula. Babies need Bifidus before they need acidophilus, and there are special strains of Bifidus. A friend of mine with serious candida issues used it after she had already used another good brand of probiotics. They are also a nice website for education on the importance of probiotics.
