Guest guest Posted October 17, 2006 Report Share Posted October 17, 2006 just 2 weeks ago i had it bad on my face ...eyes swollen shut etc I was at wits end and ended up using zanfel, its OTC and costs about $40 for a tube but I was amazed with the relief I felt immediately along with decrease in swelling etc within a couple hours I only applied it three times one day and I began clearing up 24 hours later most all swelling was gone I no longer itched ever again after 2nd treatment, use it according to directions and shower application worked perfectly. Not really alternative but I just know it worked for me and I was desperate and sounds like you are desperate for relief for son. Goodluck with whatever you do. It will take the itch out and dry it up. My husband used to need the shots and since using the Tea Tree Oil he hasn't had one. You can buy it Wal-Mart near the bug bite and other itch type medicines. I've heard of using bleach though my brother only had partial success. Keep him away from sugars, especially high fructose, as used in pop and fruit drinks---real fruit juice is ok, best if not from concentrate---that kills the enzymes(life force) of the juice.
