Guest guest
Hello-- Can anyone offer advice/solutions to the problem I am having? I have bone spurs on 3 of the vertebra in my neck. These bone spurs are pressing on my spinal cord and cause migraines, pain in my shoulder, numbness and tingling in arms/hands, and neck pain that is like a migraine in my neck. Every day, I have some sort of pain. The only option I've been given by traditional Western medicine is surgery to remove the spurs. I don't want to go this route, because since it involves my spinal cord, there is a risk of paralysis. Does anyone know of any alternative treatments to dissolve bone spurs that really work? Thank you in advance. --Jeff
Guest guest
Hi Jeff. I belong to a list called the Crock-Lakhovsky list at . This group was started by a man that had almost the exact same problem you are having, and he " cured " his pain with the Lakhovsky coil rather than deal with surgery. The coil is simple to make. Normally most members (me included) wear a coil around our waist, but Bob--the list owner--made his for his neck because that is what hurt him so badly. For the waist we use a single strand number 10 gauge copper insulated wire. You cut a piece (you can get it at any hardware store) that fits your waist PLUS 5 inches or so for overlap. Then all you do is wrap the wire around your waist and overlap the ends so that they lay NEXT to each other, NOT touching each other which would make a closed circle. You don't want a closed circle with ends touching--you want a " coil " or open loop with the ends laying next to the other side of the wire. To keep the ends in place so they don't poke you, you can just tape the ends to the part of the wire it's laying next to. For the neck coil, because number 10 wire is too big in diameter to hide under his shirt, Bob bought number 12 gauge wire. Though the number is bigger the wire itself is smaller in diameter. You still want to overlap the ends (but you don't need a 5 inch overlap on the neck, 2 or 3 is enough), but because it's on your neck and not getting twisted around as much as it does on your waist, you don't need to tape the ends together unless they are poking you in the neck. You could join the group and get some great advice from Bob on how he solved his problem--but he's just leaving tomorrow for a 2 week trip and won't be on line hardly at all. There are other people there though, with many years experience with these coils that can help you till Bob gets back. This is such a simple method for relieving any pain I believe it's totally worth a try. There are other things you can do that will also work--a chiropractor, get the book Pain Free by Pete Egoscue (it will explain everything you need to do with simple body stretches to relieve this pain) and I'm sure others on the list will have more great ideas. But I have found the coil to be such a surprising and powerful little gizmo, that's so cheap, it's certainly worth a try. My wire at my local hardware store only cost 34 cents a foot so for a couple of bucks I made a coil and it has taken ALL my shoulder tension and pain away in a matter of 2 days.
