Oil Pulling Explained

It is basically swishing Sesame Oil or Sunflower Oil around your

mouth for 15-20 minutes on an empty stomach. It pulls toxins from your blood and

bacteria from your mouth. At the end of the swishing (pulling) you spit it out,

and rinse with warm sea salt water. The

reason you do this for 20 minutes is that all the blood in your body

filters through the big vein under you tongue every 20 minutes.

It stimulates your liver to produce bile. It increases metabolism.

One of the side effects is much white teeth, fresher breath, and

healthy looking gums.

Heck, if that's all I got, then great!!

The testimonials I have read are from people with awesome dentists

visits, and lessing of deep pockets in gums, allowing them to avoid gum surgery.

I have now read about people who say it has cured their dandruff,

lessened psoriasis, healed cracked heels, lessened asthma and drained sinuses. I

can attest to the sinus condition being better. My husband and I used to be very

congested all the time, and this has definitely helped a lot. Also, in the 6

months I've done this I have not been sick once.

Can you tell I like it? You might think I'm crazy, but it's so

benign, you should give it a try!!

Thanks for your reply. Very intersting. I was reading the best oil

to use is refined sufflower oil or seaseme oil. What kind do you

use? And only once a day?

I tried it this morning and could only do it for 5 minutes...the oil

started to gag me. I was using olive oil though, because that is all

I have.

It would be wonderful to get my sinuses cleared out!!!

There has certainly been some confusion in the oil pulling arena! It's

definitely SUNFLOWER or SESAME OIL. I read on oilpulling.com that REFINED cold

pressed oil is recommended b/c unrefined oils may harbor unwanted residues or

contaminates. I was unable to find refined organic cold-pressed sunflower oil.

Does anyone know how to find ORGANIC, COLD-PRESSED, REFINED, SUNFLOWER OIL?

I just finished my first oil pulling and it was quite pleasant; I was able to

keep it up for the full 20 min. using sunflower oil!

I use sunflower oil, too. I have a very high gag reflex, but this tablespoon

of oil in my mouth doesn't stimulate the gag at all. I was very surprised

because I thought it would. I do the full 20 minutes. I only do it once a

day, first thing in the morning. Some people with lots of health problems

do it 3 times a day.

I do it three times a day... using Sunflower Oil, Cold Pressed,

imported from France. It's in a black bottle and very nice tasting

compared to some others.

Yeah, get the sunflower at Wild Oats for like $6.99. It's not bad at

all... maybe I was too desperate for change to notice. However, just

bless it before you put it in your mouth.

It will work for everything. I think this site might be helpful

too. Consider getting the stones and one of these:

Personal Salt-Air Inhaler with Original Himalayan Crystal Salt

The <http://www.himalayanlivingsalt.com/salt_air_inhaler.htm>Salt-Air

Inhaler is a convenient, drug-free and non-invasive device for

enjoying the benefits of salt-air therapy.

Daily Use For Several Minutes Can:

* Ease Breathing

* Support Rehabilitation & Medical Therapies of the Respiratory System

* Clean the Respiratory System

Salt-Air Can be Very Helpful For Respiratory Problems Caused by:

* Pollen & Other Allergies

* Asthma

* Influenza & Other Infections

* Dehydrating, Recycled Air Aboard Airlines

You can send an e-mail to Hilde and ask her if that will help

clean-up your sinuses, but I think it will. She is very nice... and

helpful too. She will tell you the truth.

I'm just starting to make the sole (the salt rocks in water solution

that you drink daily) but my friend is feeling the effects of it so

she told me. Check w/Hilde and her site will give you a good

explanation of the importance of this salt vs table or sea salt.

I brought my oil in here to type what is on the bottle. The one I've

been using is from Wild Oats, but not refined.

Brand name: Rapunzel Organic Sunflower Oil (Cold Pressed and

Unrefined) Milled and bottled in Southern France) 16.9 FL OZ - 500

ML. I don't know the advantage of refined because this is the ONLY

one I've ever used and my results are spectacular.

Yep... it's great. We're going to destroy the world of dentistry

with our new found knowledge from the old folk medicine. Isn't it great?

Many regards,
