I have the Austin and it is by far the best air purifier on the market. I

search for 6 months and then took what I thought were the 3 best to a couple

of environmentalists and they said the Austin Air is the best on the market.

I'm chemically sensitive.....they were right....

Those are very good air cleaners. They always get such high ratings.

Expensive but so well worth it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just purchased an Air Purifier (which I NOW just found out has something

to do with Ozone). I've heard they are not good for you. HOWEVER, the company

will not refund my money (they are very expensive).... I wish I had known

this before. I was not able to attend the demo that the salesperson gave. But,

his sister told me what a GREAT air purifier it was. I was very impressed by

how it worked in her house and how the smells and odors disappeared almost

immediately, and that her furniture was almost dust free (I'm allergic to

dust... AND live in AZ, where dust is an everyday thing)... ANYWAY, she

convinced

me to purchase the unit on time payment plan. Now that I have had it in my own

house for almost 3 months I am finding it does not do what it says it does.

I do not notice less dust, nor do I notice the odors disappearing as fast as

she said her's does. I actuallly have found that this " very expensive unit "

isn't doing anything it says it will. Even though I am finding this out now

(after the fact of purchasing it) the company said that their return policy is

only 30 days. They had me send it to them to see if it has malfunctioned.

However, I am now concerned about it being an Ozone air purifier, which I've

been seeing in this group is NOT good.

Can anyone tell me why this type of purifier is not good? Why is it

considered NOT safe? AND what can it do if you use it at the correct level

setting

for the size of your house?

I need to find an air purifier that will remove dust from the air and give

me a better environment in my home to " breathe " in. I would appreciate any

help you can give me. Suggestions and recommendations on units that you have

tried or know of.

Thank you all for your time

Health and Blessings

Gail
