Guest guest
i have been lurking here for a few. i enjoy all the p;osts and have learned quite a bit. now, i ahve something to ask. i took my teenage daughter to teh doctor for a routine physical needed for a work permit. this is a new doctor to us as we just moved here.this woman reccomended that i alow her to inject my daughter with 3 new vaccines. 1) for teh human pappo virus (?) (to prevent cancer) 2) a booster for whooping cough (there was supposedly an outbreak recently among smaller children, though i don't remember hearing about it) 3) another tetnus shot (she just had one 2 years ago) i informed her that i did not want her giving these to my child. she has recieved all teh vaccines she is gonna get. the doctor then informed me that they we are in a trial area (?) and it is best for my child to receive these vaccines for her future health. well, i asked who was affected by whooping cough and was told it was smaller kids, my daughter is 15. i informed the doc that my daughter had a tetnus shot 2 years ago and i didn't feel a need for another one this early, since surely too much in her system can't possibly be good for her either and i told her that cancer does not run in my family and my daughter is not yet sexually active, so i didn't want her injecting that mess into her. the doctor informed me that it was for my daughter's benefit and since i did not have a medical degree, i couldn't possibly make a sound decision based on what i might have read somewhere else, and she would be mentioning the vaccines to me again, next time we came in. she also said that soon i may not have a choice, since measures are being taken to make these new vaccines mandatory, like the ones for infants. i told her that in all likelihood, i would not be back to see her, since i was not comfortable with a doctor pushing drugs on me or my children. has anyone heard of such a thing because i haven't? can they really put new drugs out in a " trial area " and make people/children become guinnea pigs? or is this woman getting a kick-back from the drug company and trying to scare me into compliance? just curious meli
Guest guest
Both! And you do have rights, even when vaccines are " mandatory " . Many states have opt-out vaccine forms that you have to get and fill in. I have seen these forms mentioned on other lists, though I can't remember where right now, because I don't have kids so I didn't save the info. But I live in Texas and here children must have certain vaccines before being allowed in school. the only alternatives is home schooling or getting one of these opt-out forms and supplying the school with that. Most parents don't even know about the forms though, so wind up having their kids filled with vaccines just so they can go to school. The vaccine against the cancer virus is STILL not proven. They want to give the shots to those who are still sexually inactive, because once you have sex you have undoubtedly been exposed to the virus. So, theoretically your daughter could get the shot--and it would do her good--IF the bloody vaccine was proven! Which it is not, because it hasn't been studied long enough to prove there are no side effects. A two or three year study shows does not show long term effect. Plus, most of the adult population have been exposed to this virus and only a very small percentage actually come down with cervical cancer! Which means your daughter doesn't have a likely chance of getting cervical cancer anyway--in comparison to what that vaccine might do to her down the road 10 years from now. Especially if you counsil your daughter now about good physical health, eating the right foods, drinking enough water, getting sunshine, etc. She has a MUCH better chance of not coming down with cervical cancer if she keeps her immune system in good working order, than by taking any vaccine. I'd ditch that doctor too. Though you may find out that if you ARE in a test area, every doctor is going to try to convince you to give these vaccines to your family, because they are getting paid to do that. So if you stay with this doctor, just tell her that YOU are paying HER for the service you came in for, and nothing else, so she can keep her " advice " to herself as you are not paying to hear that. samala Renee ---- can they really put new drugs out in a " trial area " and make people/children become guinnea pigs? or is this woman getting a kick-back from the drug company and trying to scare me into compliance? just curious
Guest guest
That is absolutely ridiculous this doctor is trying to scare you into giving these vaccines to your daughter. It wouldn't surprise me if the children were being used as guinea pigs. Doctors do get kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies. That is how they are " encouraged " to write the prescriptions for that particular drug over another. Many doctors use intimidation as a means to scare parents into consenting to administer vaccines to their children so it's always best to learn as much as you can about the different vaccinations offered out there and how to avoid them.
