Angelic Hierarchies

 

Cabalistic Angelology acknowledges 9 Angelic hierarchies or chorus

 

In this hierarchy some Angelic beings are closer to God and others

are closer to human kind. This doesn't mean that some are more

important than others. It means that each chorus or hierarchy has

characteristics and missions toward people that are essential to

global harmony and goodness of all God's children.

 

Each chorus is ruled by a prince. Seven of them (Mikael, Gabriel,

Rafael, Saquiel, Haniel and Cassiel) rule Cabalistic Angels.

Metatron is the prince of all, who is in the highest level, closest

to God.

 

 

1st Chorus – SERAPHIM

 

The name have an Hebraic root that mean " to burn completely " .

It's the hierarchy closest to God. They are the oldest Angelic

beings. Their mission is to adore, to praise and to manifest God's

glory.

They enlighten and purify. And they represent Divine intelligence

and charity.

Their prince is Metatron.

In arts they are represented with six wings and rounded by fire.

 

 

2nd Chorus - CHERUBIM

 

They guard and communicate Divine Mysteries.

Thus, they gave us knowledge and God gave them the special mission

of being the Tree of Life guardians.

They also keep everything that is written and is sacred.

They have the mission of keeping universal order.

They are also the Angelic beings who guard light and the stars.

To human beings they provide knowledge, joy and vitality.

Raziel is their prince.

In artwork they are usually present as round-checked and chubby

children. Many times, they even have a restless facial expression.

 

 

3rd Chorus - THRONES

 

They communicate Divine power, guard His throne and protect arts and

beauty.

God communicate them His demands so they can transmit them to those

hierarchies that are in lower positions.

To people, they make union possible.

Their prince is Cassiel.

They are present in arts as handsome young people holding an harp, a

trumpet or any other musical instrument.

 

 

4th Chorus – DOMINIONS

 

Those are the one who act in emergency situations.

They help humankind fighting the primitive instincts and combat the

evil. At the same time, they help to develop Goodness.

They are planet Earth rulers.

The prince is Saquiel (some consider Uriel)

When present in artwork, they seize a sceptre and a sword.

 

 

5th Chorus – MIGHTS (or Potestates)

 

They are responsible by organization of the four elements (air,

water, earth and fire).

They are animals guardians and also they assure procreation and

perpetuation of all life beings.

Also, they protect us from evil beings and temptations.

Their prince is Camael.

A flamboyant sword makes them know in artwork presentations.

 

6th Chorus – POWERS

 

Owners of a strong and virile nature they are able to take off the

obstacles that appear in God's plan.

They help every person to fulfil her mission here on the Earth.

They cure any illness and give discernment and calm.

They also have power over nature phenomena.

Their prince is Rafael.

He is represented, in artwork, with a wand or a shepherd's crook in

the right hand.

 

 

7th Chorus - PRINCIPALITIES

 

Their action and mission are with nations and their leaders

(presidents, ministers, kings, and so on).

Therefore, they are the guardians of kingdoms, countries and also of

the fauna, flora and Earth richness. In the same mission, they

protect and guard animal, vegetal and mineral kingdoms.

Haniel is their Prince.

Their art representation includes sceptres and/or crosses in the

hands.

 

 

8th Chorus - ARCHANGELS

 

Kindly we, Angelologists, call them Angels " chiefs " to whom they

transmit important messages that God has to humankind.

They are very agile in their action and promote relationships,

happiness, wisdom, learning and knowledge.

Missions given to them by God are so extraordinary that overcome our

human understanding skills. This confirms how important they are in

Divine plan and order.

One of their essential missions is to assure that everything we,

human beings, do in the Angeles's or God's name is for the Goodness

of all and for the Highest Goodness.

So, they fight with the strongest conviction the evil helping us to

fulfil our Divine plan and mission.

Their prince is Mikael who is represented in the arts by handling a

sword and a shield. Many times, he is also represented fighting and

dominating a dragon.

 

 

9th Chorus - ANGELS

 

Of all Angelic beings, these are those closest to us. They have a

side by side relationship with each one of us. It's a personal

relationship. They are always close to us willing to serve us in

precious ways.

They don't act unless we ask them to do and never interfere with our

free will. This doesn't apply when human life is in danger. They

protect, by very special manners our physical safety.

They provide each of us with daily experiences that help us to

develop in the spiritual dimension. So, they reinforce our spiritual

conscious and our link with Divine.

God's miracles are performed through them.

They link Heaven and Earth.

Their way of being is of Light, Happiness, Joy, Love and Beauty.

Their prince is Gabriel.

Their artistic representations are deeply intuitive. I mean, each

person and each artist represent them according to their own

guidance. This means that they can be found in artworks in many

different ways, always with a human configuration. In artworks,

usually they are presented with wings.
