Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on natural alternatives for these as my sister has just been diagnosed and is finding it a bit much with all of the poking and prodding and drugs they'd like to put her on. I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone can give that might be of assistance. She's not the most patient person around and I realise that the natural medicines can take some time to work. It would be great to give her some options though as the doctors only want to go the western way and who knows what all of those hormones and chemical will do to a person?!?! Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks! Kelly
Guest guest
I understand the National Center for Alternative and Complementary Medicine.gov was conducting some Trials using Vitamin B6 Pyroxidine. Apparantly the results with the B6 Pyroxidine were very favorable. So I would recommend Vitamin B6 Pyroxidine at 100 mgs. for 30 days. The sooner you begin the Vitamin therapy; the better. After 30 days switch to a B-Complex 50 or 100. www.NCCACM.nih.gov a , " kellycherie_13 " <kellycherie13 wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on natural alternatives for > these as my sister has just been diagnosed and is finding it a bit > much with all of the poking and prodding and drugs they'd like to put > her on. > I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone can give that might be of > assistance. Guest guest
Well if you are up for doing research, take a look at the herb Stinging Nettle. It has tremendous results for balancing the hormones. I took it for many many years when my hormones were out of whack and my monthly schedule was crazy. It does take a while to work though: about a month. Research is really the best way to go. Experimenting as well too. That's how I found the best treatments for myself. Before trying any herbal remedy it must be discussed with a doctor because there may be contra-indications with prescribed medicines. Traditional Chinese and Oriental medicine has a different understanding and approach to the cause of endometriosis - but one which fits the current scientific knowledge and would fill in many of the gaps in scientists' theories. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, endometriosis is classified as a liver disorder and associated with liver stagnation. In every woman with endometriosis the underlying cause for this liver blood stagnation may be slightly different but the outcome is similar. Recent studies have supported this theory and implicated chronic exposure to dioxins (an environmental pollutant) to both liver health and endometriosis independently. Unfortunately, for women living a modern lifestyle, avoiding these dioxins would be very difficult as they are found in a large proportion of all fish, meat and dairy products produced for human consumption. A compromised liver would also play a part in weakening the immune system - once again a factor implicated in endometriosis. Eating foods that are understood to be liver-weakening is also a problem of modern lifestyle and endometriosis. Refined foods, especially those containing wheat flour and sugar, deep fried foods, caffeine and ice-cold drinks, all compromise liver functioning and should be avoided by women in general, but particularly those with a predisposition to or past experience of endometriosis. Stress is also a big enemy of liver health and in Chinese medicine the liver is considered the most emotion-sensitive organ of the body.
