Guest guest
Usually when i get a cat bite it gets infected & I need antibiotics. This time I put honey on it & it didn't get infected. Don't know whether it was the honey or whether I was just lucky, but I thought I'd share it. Mike
Guest guest
Mike that is very interesting! I know honey is used in burn hospitals for it's antibiotic properties and keeps burns moist and germ free, and the sugar feeds the new cells. It's also good for stomach ulcers, and in drinking water for sick cats. Mixed with milk it makes hamsters live longer (presumably their hearts.) Have you ever tried honey on cat scratches?? I'll bet that would work also We have a new cat and are getting our share of cat scratches! Also, no sleep because they chase eachother all night and sound like two sets of car keys running all over the house. One was playing slapshot hockey on the bathroom floor. I can forgive the scratches, but the lack of sleep is hard! Athena
Guest guest
Thanks for sharing. I'll give it a try next time, I usually use Tea Tree Oil, it clears up any infection but I've gotten really allergic to the smell.
