Guest guest
Is there anything one could take to get rid of fluid in the ears?
Guest guest
I've used H202 (hydrogen peroxide) and that will clear it up temporarily. But I've suffered form itchy and runny ears for years, and I have tinnitus, which is so bothersome. But the H202 will work here and there, and will very effectively kill bacteria that can accumulate in the fluid. , " mlbj98 " <DietMan_2 wrote: > > Is there anything one could take to get rid of fluid in the ears? >
Guest guest
Hi, I recently purchased some swimmer's ear drops and they contained both hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar. They seemed to work well Athena

His ENT is a professor at the University of South Florida and suggested we test him for acid reflux, although he had not had any symptoms that suggested it he tested positive and was put on Prevacid once a day..that was in October of 2005 and he has not had ear problems since. Perhaps starting with one of OTC or herbal aids for acid-reflux might help??
Guest guest
I agree. Those of us you have studied alternative health know that the liver and colon are tied to many health problems. Get rid of congestion of the liver and blockages in the colon and intestines and your body can freely eliminate the toxins that otherwise reside in the body. For me, liver flushes and colonics, Oxypowder and Okra Pepsin are tantamount to my continuingly improved health condition. I was almost disabled before starting an educated effort to detox and cleanse. I used to suffer from terrible acid reflux. I have no idea if it was the liver flush or the colon cleanse that kicked it, but I haven¹t taken an acid medication for months and months...not even an aspirin. Guest guest
Hello! Ive had this off and on for years now. I take zyrtec every 12 hours and this can still be a problem on days when pollen counts are extremely high. If I exercise 5-6 days a week and drink plenty of fluids, I mean constant, water. THem it doesnt bother me. My doc is cool about therbs and all and he told me its like when you have a cold and you need to drink plenty of fluids so the discharge from nose and lungs doesnt get real, tough and gooey and clog. If The pollen goes way up my ears will itch terrible, and I put a tad of neosporin on a q-tip and gently slide it around to relieve the itch, this can last a day ot 2-3. This is ok to he said, but barely put any on the q-tip, just enough to get it wet. peroxide or alcohol diluted or otherwise are the biggest no-nos. If you saw what this does to your ears you would stop it. I had a friend doing this, and he ruined his natural flora balance in ears, no protective layer of skin and has to use special creams to protect, prescript, costly. And has worse problems now. I have a black lab that we were diluting peroxide, we thought way down, to clean hers ears, when pollen is up she has problems too! And we did this thinking it would provide her relief. Her hair turned a slight orange, from over a month or 2 usage. The vet, said stop, there is a reason why you are told growing up to never put anything in you ear smaller than your elbow! lol But he was serious. I told him of my friend and he said her, my dogs ears, would be there to, if we continued this process. He said she would be better off with something likened to a doggie sudafed or allergy pill to relieve her ears Both docs agreed that some ear canals are made differently than others and that some people can not eat or drink anything 2 hours before bed because it truly drains back into the ear. Just like some babies! Tina Ranieri ann4cure <kazala wrote: I've used H202 (hydrogen peroxide) and that will clear it up temporarily. Guest guest
Mostly when dogs have this type of ear problems it's because they have allergies--which is usually to their food. Either the artificial coloring, or the additives or the grains. Change that and you change the ear trouble. Especially if the ears smell yeasty. (same goes for humans :-) samala Renee ---- I have a black lab that we were diluting peroxide, we thought way down, to clean hers ears, when pollen is up she has problems too! Guest guest
The people that we got her from abused her and left her out in all kinds of weather. She had nothing but a dirt floor, it took us 7 baths to get her clean. They never paid attention to her, they would open a huge bag of dog food and go in the house and leave her. And ya know you cant feed a lab that way. She was only 9 months old, I said thats no lab and made them show me her papers. Her hair was sticking up all over, I thought she was some mix. But vet said that her ears are a mess and her sinuses from being out in all the bad weather. He said no one should be treated this poorly. He said he might want to put her on something for sinus in her old age. She was grossly over weight too. We give her iams her sinus have improved and she lost the wieght on her own, we walk our dogs in the woods everyday. So her breathing is much better. No one would sleep with her in the beginning because she snored so bad. Just the ears now on real high pollen days. We have a cleaner we use from the vet and that helps alot but... He said its a lab thing. THis is my first lab, we just wonder what could help her naturally. There not much grain in Iams not like in other dog food. thanks Tina Renee <gaiacita wrote: Mostly when dogs have this type of ear problems it's because they have allergies--which is usually to their food. Guest guest
Hi Tina. I went and asked a dog raw food list that I'm on if they had any advice for you. It's a good list and it's at . Just search for CNRS. Besides putting CS in the ears, this is what they said: I guess the ideal would be to have her off all grains. Warm olive oil can do wonders for ears, but I think she needs help detoxing for a good cleaning out of the ears, which is just a symptom of her overall problems. If still on kibble at least add Artic Vigor ( you can google Artic Vigor--it s a fish oil type supplement--the amount is not the bottle) though start with a much smaller amount and slowly increase over a 2 week period as the stools and the detox will increase at this time. It does help prevent the formation of free radicals (the grains contribute a lot to this process) and the Artic Vigor will help to lessen this. I would also suggest a fermented salad once a week at least though a couple of hours before her regular meal is even better. Here is a sample (does not have to be this complicated, just a lot of different veggies to give someone the idea of how to make it. (below) The fermented pulped salad is made (mostly with leafy greens) adding probiotics (human grade and non dairy) to establish the good bacteria in the intestines. The human grade digestive enzymes are also added (need one with cellulase and amylase at least) are added to the pulped salad and keep the mix at BODY temperature for at least 15 minutes before feeding, wait at least 2 hours after this salad mix before feeding meaty bones for the best results. This salad helps diarrhea problems as well as constipation, boost the immune system and gives extra b vitamins to boot )))) It helps to repair the intestines by establishing good bacteria that prefers raw food and leafy greens. You first pulp the veggies in a food blender or use the pulp from a juicer (chop up some romaine lettuce so it is easier to process, some freeze it first to smash into very tiny pieced in the bag after it is frozen) some add a little water for processing) it should look like baby food when done. For sick animals make it mostly leafy greens and low starchy veggies. You can freeze this mush and then continue the rest of the procedure when you need some more fermented veggies. With the thawed mixture or the freshly made one you add some probiotics human grade (non dairy type) always sold in the fridge of pharmacy or health food store. add one capsule or digestive enzymes (like UDO's digestive blend human type, though if you read the labels you will find similar types for less money) but they should have the basics of Cellulase and Amylase. (for dogs and cats about 10 pounds or less use 1/4 capsule of each) Best with a sick dog to add the probiotic to his food as well and so they should also have Lipase and Protease. I share my digestive enzymes with my dog so I make sure that is also has Lactase as I have problems with milk digestion (but if the mix you get does not have this it is still good for the dog) I do not like the dog types because they often add stuff and some use the poorest quality and the probiotics often are not alive. Some are a joke and if you read the label are often are just prebiotics and sold on a shelf so no live ones left (The ones I have seen are a waste of money IMO or not as beneficial as getting the human grade varieties) ---- But vet said that her ears are a mess and her sinuses from being out in all the bad weather.
