Guest guest
I started working overtime in June because of a software upgrade, and ever since then my right eye has been twitching. OT is done with, but I still have the twitchy eye. Anyone have any advice to help this stop? I also feel a bit under the weather and have since then. Cold symptoms but too mild to keep me down, just enough to be annoying. Thanks! I'm new to the list, by the way. Or my daughter's boom box on a stressful day! Maybe closing your one eye or using chamomile tea bags or cucumbers to relax. Go ahead and have the tea, too. Also B vitamins (for nerves), Welch's Passionfruit juice has a calming effect, almost like having a glass of wine.. A good multivitamin would probably have B6, C (for muscles), E for eyes, Lutein for sight, Calcium for eyes, etc. Billbery (huckleberry) in particular is good. Royal Air Force pilots credit huckleberry jam they had on their toast for improving their night vision in WWI. . Berries of all kinds are very good for eyes. And try wearing sunglasses out in the sun. 90% of our energy is used up by our eyes. I live in Florida, and can't stand to be without them. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hello Cynthia! When my eye twitches it is because I have over done it and within 24 hours I will get a migraine. Sleeeeep and regular exercise, eating regular good meals. If I skip meals or dont have a nice hot meal, this will happen too. Peace Tina Cynthia Blue <hexwitchblue wrote: I started working overtime in June because of a software upgrade, and ever since then my right eye has been twitching. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the replies! I will try some of the remedies and rest my eyes. I am on the computer a lot during the day. At home though I get tired of the computer and just want to spend time with my dogs and my husband. I love chamomile... my Mom used to give it to me in my bottle when I was a baby, so I have a soft spot for the stuff. Guest guest
Cynthia, I had this issue too after having eye strain. My eye twitched non-stop for months and was noticeable. I started working with remedies for the eyes which didn't help. But, I discovered the root cause was the nervous system and exhausted adrenals. I started taking an herbal remedy called Nervous Fatigue Formula which contains herbs that support the nervous system and the adrenals and it was only a matter of a couple of days before I noticed immediate relief and haven't had the problem since. If you want to read more about this just go to: http://www.mynsp.com/natureforlife/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=1884 Many people suffer from adrenal exhaustion due to diet and environmental toxins. Guest guest
Hi Michelle thanks for the reply. I went to a naturopath a few months ago and she did give me something for my adrenals... now I forgot the name. I haven't been taking them steadily though so maybe I need to do that to balance myself more. I will look more into the product you suggest too! I'm very new to homeopathic medicine... or anything other than traditional (allopathic?) medicine. However, after finally finding a solution to my horrible PMS in herbs, I am now looking for more help through that route. My GYN just wanted to put me on the pill, made me feel like I'd been hit by a truck for two awful days. Did a lot of reading and found I'm estrogen dominant. Anyway.. thanks. Guest guest
Thanks Phil. I follow the Eat To Live plan.. well, at least for the most part. When I get stressed and tired and not feeling well I eat more junk than I should. And when we watch our friends dogs' they seem to want to thank us with brownies and chocolate covered preztels. Darn those things are too good. However, I'm sure I still have a lot to learn regarding nutrition. I do eat quite healthy but maybe I'm missing something. Guest guest
Twitchy eye could also signal an onset of Hemi Facial Spasm where the facial nerve gets short circuited by one of the over-active blood vessels. Not sure what the natural remedey for that is as I am also having that problem. Guest guest
Twitchy Eye can be a result of lack of sleep and consumption of too much caffeine to stay awake. It takes several weeks to resolve after you return to more hours of sleep. I used to get it a lot when I was working extra night shifts. But after a few weeks back on schedule, the twitching stopped on its own. , " Suresh Chaudhry " <surchaudhry wrote: > > Twitchy eye could also signal an onset of Hemi Facial Spasm where the > facial nerve gets short circuited by one of the over-active blood > vessels. Guest guest
You may find that Twitchy Eye is a virus. Often it runs in families. One member will have it then several days later or a week or so later, another family member gets it. All the best Diana http://www.bowentherapy.homestead.com
