Guest guest
Pine Scented Toner for Men or Women Anyone starting on handmade holiday gifts? You might like this recipe for scented skin toner, it makes a good gift for the guys too - and those are sometimes hard to find. 1 cup fresh pine needles 1 cup distilled water 1/4 cup witch hazel Place the pine needles in a small pan on the stove and cover with the water. Bring the water to a boil, then remove the pan from the heat. Allow the pine water to cool completely. Strain off the pine needles and discard. Add the witch hazel and stir well. Pour the toner into a clean bottle. Apply to your skin with a clean cotton ball. Do not rinse. Store in a cool, dark place. Makes about 8 oz. Notes from the Book: -Fresh pine needles are easy to find this time of year. This fragrant toner is perfect for all skin types. Pine water is slightly astringent and will improve your circulation, giving your complexion a healthy winter glow. The subtle scent of pine also produces a feeling of tranquility. -For gift giving, I like to place a sprig of fresh pine inside the bottle and nestle the toner in a basket filled with fresh pine needles and pine cone scales.
