Guest guest
Can I please have some input on the subject of detoxifying the body of chemicals and metals such as mercury? Is there a way to cleanse the body of vaccination impurities as well as environmental pollutants? I'm not interested on being " sold " different products, I just want to hear about ways to naturally help the body cleanse itself. If you are a salesperson, and are pushing your product, don't bother to reply. I'm seeking advice only from those of you who are knowledgeable about the subject, or those who want to share experiences. Much appreciation, ~Connie wife and mother of 3 Get on board. Guest guest
Hi Connie and all, There are so many ways to detoxify, and Andrew has some awesome information on his web site. http://www.peacefulmind.com/detox.htm Obviously, everyone is unique, so what works for one, just might not be appropriate for another. I've been doing cleanses for years and am a trained colon hydrotherapist. So, I understand the value of detoxification. I find that at 50, blood sugar and hormone issues keep me from fasting or doing extended cleansing programs. Despite a good diet and using clean products, toxicity accumulates. So, these days, I soak my feet in an ionic footbath and let it do the work for me! First and foremost, I'm a holistic health practioner with 30 years experience. Like Andrew, I also happen to sell products and services that support the goals of my clients. Over the years, I've " been there, done that " , and I have found what works for me and my clients in a powerful, easy, safe way. Can't help but share something you believe in so strongly, but be assured, I'm not trying to sell you anything! All the best, Michelle http://www.ionicdynamo.com I'm not interested on being " sold " different products, I just want to hear about ways to naturally help the body cleanse itself. Guest guest
Connie, I was given some advise by an RN who is also a medical intuitive to use the Master Cleanse that you can find on the internet. I took one look at it and my body said " I don't think so missy. " Later I went to a nutritionist and she told me that is a very harsh cleanse. She added she would recommend it to no one. I have not got that far to do any of this, but I can only add what I don' think I would try. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Connie, The first time I heard of this, my reaction was very much the same. But I watched as my Reiki master (and others) do it several times over a couple of years. Each time, she gained health and good attitude and lost health issues and weight. I haven't tried it yet but plan too. I hold little stock in what allopathic doctors have to say - you gotta remember, they aren't trained to accept these sorts of remedies - rather they are trained to wholy reject them. This cleanse is no harsher than the majority of the pharma drugs they will advise folks to take. Just my two cents worth... Guest guest
The only thing you can do without being sold something is to eat a raw food diet rich in greens and do regular enemas. Making green smoothies (60% fruit and the rest greens) will speed things up. Everything else will involve using product which of course must be bought and sold. This should help but other products or treatments are likely needed to aid in detoxing and to rebuild the detoxification organs. What will be left in the bloodstream must be removed as well and in very sick people, diet alone doesn't always help if they can't eliminate the toxins that are released into the bloodstream. I'm curious as to why you don't want to buy anything? EFT may help you as well to balance emotions which lead to illness (and holding onto toxins) and it's free to learn at www.emofree.com. Until you are open-minded to try other things, you probably won't get well. I spent a ton of money before finding the right things for our family and I'm really grateful that I did because we are all well now. I love the salespeople that helped us! Guest guest
Connie and others, Detoxing is a very touchy topic, because every body reacts differently too. A good supplement that I am beginning to have success with is chlorella. It detoxies mercury as well, which was why I got it because I have 2 fillings that " decomposed " and I had metal floating around! It is good for regular digestive health if used reguarly, around 4-5 grams per day. Let me see if I can find the manufacturer I use as it can sometimes not be " real " or organic, and expensive over time. Guest guest
I used a dry sauna to detox from mercury poisoning. They allow you to sweat out the toxins. I had a really positive experience with that. You can find them from a number of companies online (I bought mine from High Tech Health), and I think people even sell them on Ebay. Also, a couple of other resources that might be helpful if you wanted to change up your diet to help aid its ability to detox, without actually doing a fast are the nourishing traditions cookbook, and Patient, Heal Thyself (this book is interesting if you can get past the fact that the author uses it like an infomercial to promote his product line - none of which I used). The cookbook is written by people who adhere to the principles of the Weston Price Foundation. It's kind of a back to traditional ways of eating approach to diet. They really promote good fats, as well as healthy saturated fats, and the health benefits of certain types of food, like coconut or grassfed meat. Hope this helps. , constance young <connieyounglmt wrote: > > Can I please have some input on the subject of detoxifying the body of chemicals and metals such as mercury? Guest guest
Hi, I was taking chlorella for various health conditions and also mercury detox, as I have tons of mercury fillings in my mouth. I thought I was feeling better and it was helping my blood sugars also, but then I started getting some real aches and pains. I got mine off of Dr. Mercola's site, which claims it is mercury free and one of the best..I then read a site of a woman's experience with detoxing for mercury over years and what she learned to do and not to do, so it wouldn't be rough. Wish I still had her site, but that computer crashed. She did use chlorella before removing fillings, but doesn't advise it. The site was vast and had tons of great info, but I don't even have a clue which group she posted to, here or another group I belong to. Dr. Mercola has some good information on Chlorella if anyone is interested. Anyway, I found a " metals " group that I just d to (not ), so I'm going to investigate this more. I have done Dr. Clark's intestinal cleanse in the past and lost weight and my joints quit aching. I planned to get around to doing her liver or kidney cleanses, but never got around to them. Guest guest
I wouldn't mind buying something to help with the process; what I'm trying to avoid is salespeople trying to convince me to buy their products. Guest guest
Hi there, new to the group, but I got a few things here: One you can bathe. I found a great detox bath to be: One cup of 35% food grade H202 (hydrogen peroxide), one cup of epsom salts (for the magnesium) 1/2 cup each of sea salt and baking soda. The baking soda neutralizes the toxins that are released from your body, and when you get in the tub the water is clear, but the time you get out, it is very murky. I've also started adding Oil of Oregano, and all the liver or sun spots on my legs are starting to go away.... Also, and this one is weird, Oil Pulling. This is a therapy that is taking the U.S. by storm. I was a therapy that was an old Ukranian folk remedy, and has also been practiced in Ayurveda for years. You take one tablespoon of either sunflower oil or sesame oil, on an empty stomach, and swish it through your teeth for 20 minutes...so you say I'm nuts? Well I've read testimonials to this that would knock your socks off. You can google it, but the main source of info is at oilpulling.com. If you google it, you can find others that are doing it, I guarantee it. The premise (as a blood detoxer) that all your blood runs through the vein at the base of your tongue every 20 minutes. The oil acts as a binder, removing the toxins from your blood (via that vein) as well as all the bacteria in your mouth. Your mouth is a huge source of bacteria that enters your system. The strange, but wonderful side effect is very white and clean teeth (like you got them professionally cleaned). I have added oil of oregano and tea tree oil as an additional antibiotic for my gum health. Also, the act of pulling causes bile release in your liver. The detox reaction increases your metabolism. I know, sounds weird, eh? Google it, see what you think. Guest guest
Hi Ann, I really recommend colonic therapy or some form of colon detoxing because that is really where most of the toxins originally come from and are recirculating from. -Sare ann4cure <kazala wrote: Hi there, new to the group, but I got a few things here: One you can bathe. Guest guest
I think colonics are fantastic, but they are a bit expensive, and not everyone's cup of tea. For bowel cleansing I usually use Oxypowder, which is perfectly safe for everyday use, and it actually melts fecal matter from the small intestine, unlike a colonic. But I think it's a personal preference, some like Oxypowder, some do not. For me I take Oxypowder and I do colonics. I got rid of a long time acid reflux problem that way, which is such a relief!! Guest guest
I had posted something, but I decided to add to it. Someone I know wrote this wonderful post about detoxing one's body. This absolutely eloquent women's words should be read. " In a nutshell (and this is a REALLY small nutshell!) what it all boils down to is this: If our bodies have the correct pH balance, then the terrain of the body will prevent ALL disease from every occuring. How do we obtain the correct pH balance? First we have to make sure all of our organs are functioning properly and free of the decades worth of acidic toxins that alter the pH balance of the body. We do this by flushing the digestive tract/colon, liver, & kidneys. And by getting rid of any parasites or yeast overgrowths that have been breeding and feeding off our sludge & acidity. Each organ flush increases our health in various ways (depending on the organ or system you are flushing). THE most important system to flush, cleanse and clean is the digestive tract and colon...because LIFE CANNOT EXIST without the ability to absorb nutrients and the ability to eliminate toxins & waste. If the colon is sluggish, clogged and toxic...nutrients cannot be absorbed properly, and the waste and toxic junk from the organs cannot be totally eliminated from the body. See: http://thedoctorwithin.com/index_fr.php?page=articles/journey_colon.php Journey to the Center of your Colon - t h e d o c t o r w i t h i n http://www.risingstarlc.com/schulzecolon.htm Dr. Richard Schulze 's March 2001 Bowel Newsletter Then we make sure our body ingests the correct nutrients in the form of a diet high in raw/organic fruits & vegetables, making sure we do NOT consume more toxins (either by eating, breathing, or absorbing through the skin). Drink ample pure water for hydration. Generally some type of supplement like Superfoods are necessary for our body to obtain the nutrients that cannot be obtained through fruits & vegetable because the soil of the earth is so weak and depleted. I also take an Omega 3/Fish Oil supplement...because I don't eat fish because of the mercury toxicity, and fish oil is integral to physical & mental health. (Please read the difference between a " Superfood " and a vitamin supplement here: http://curezone.com/schulze/handbook/superfood.asp Exercise and time in the sun...to create the vitamin D and the blood/oxygen circulation flow necessary to our body's organs. This is the goal...and this WILL prevent all illness & dis-ease Until we reach that goal, many of us find that we need a supplement or two in order to keep ourselves healthy. Echinacea for boosting the immune system will cure virtually anything. But once the organs are able to function properly and be free of years/decades worth of toxic sludge & build-up, our diet is correct and our body has the 'flow' it needs, there's no way disease has a chance to invade or weaken the body. This is a great site for information and research! I've posted the Mission Statement below. http://www.thedoctorwithin.com/ And there you have it...the body CAN heal AND prevent ANY DISEASE - the only thing it wasn't designed to do is detox itself from decades worth of toxic chemicals & poisons. (Well now, that turned out to be more like an egg's worth than a nutshell's worth). I hope it made some good sense. Flush ON! M i s s i o n S t a t e m e n t Today the field of alternative medicine is like a wild jungle, full of unsubstantiated claims, junk science, and marketing hype. This website is dedicated to providing referenced, scientific data on a variety of holistic and alternative medicine topics, focusing on universal principles, sound physiology, and the undiluted healing powers of the body itself. Healers of the past have already solved most health problems of today. Unfortunately, most of their work died with them. Their voices have been muted by the din of a thousand self-proclaimed experts and Magic Bullet salesmen. This website seeks to draw from the forgotten wisdom of the past, and to honor its simplicity. Despite what you may hear, our health is deteriorating year by year. The rates of all degenerative diseases in this country are increasing. We have more asthma, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, depression, arthritis, allergies, digestive disorders, and obesity than ever before in history. At the same time we spend more and more money each year for " Health Care. " We have more doctors and more drugs than any civilization in history. But it's not working. What's not working is the underlying idea. If doctors and drugs could give us better health, we'd already be better. That is why the field of holistic and alternative medicine is growing so fast - it's survival. The healthiest people in human history were groups who were geographically isolated from " civilization. " These people had no specialists, no HMOs, no prescription drugs, and no immense hospitals. They were never subverted with the idea that the responsibility for their own health lay outside themselves. Except in the cases of traumatic injury, for most of their lives they looked to the body's inner wisdom, and trusted only that. And it worked - they had beautiful teeth, strong bones, and very little degenerative disease. Today it's almost as though our ancestors are trying to speak to us. The searching, jumbled mess we find in the field of today's Alternative Medicine has a real, valid, vital, underlying power source: the impulse to give the body time to heal itself, to let it try and put the steps of the healing process together all by itself, without potent, unproven interventions - in short, to listen first to t h e d o c t o r w i t h i n Welcome to The Doctor Within , constance young <connieyounglmt wrote: > > Can I please have some input on the subject of detoxifying the body of chemicals and metals such as mercury? Guest guest
Annie, How often do you do this oil pulling? Weekly? Also, how much should you put in your mouth? And will olive oil or any other oil work? thanks, Lorain ann4cure <kazala 2006/08/06 Sun PM 09:52:08 CDT Re: " detoxing " what works, what doesn't? Peace, Annie , constance young <connieyounglmt wrote: > > Can I please have some input on the subject of detoxifying the body of chemicals and metals such as mercury? Guest guest
You should do this every day on an empty stomach (empty because it increases bile and your metabolism). So the best time to do it is about 4 hours after you have eaten anything. I do this once a day, first thing in the morning. I use one tablespoon of Sunflower Oil (expeller pressed). The studies of Dr. Karach say that either sunflower oil or sesame oil work great. I think that sesame oil tastes too strong, but sunflower is very light, and easy to use. Other's that have studied this say that any nut or seed oil will work, but I tend to go with Dr. Karach's findings. Try it, you'll soon learn to love it! I guarantee it. Guest guest
Has anyone mentioned Bentonite Clay? It's a harmless clay (if used properly) that absorbs toxins as it passes through the body, and isn't digested, but instead is eliminated along with the toxins. The only warning I can give is that if you have consticted intestines due to scarring from Crohns, Colitis or another disease, be careful how much you consume, as too much could block your intestines, causing severe pain and a trip to the hospital. Otherwise it's a very good product to use. , <TheKoolLottes wrote: > > Connie, > > I was given some advise by an RN who is also a medical intuitive to use the Master Cleanse that you can find on the internet.
