Guest guest
I am posting this here in hopes of finding something, even 1 last method before I give in & have surgery. I have had symptoms of CT for a couple years until last year I was diagnosed with it after suffering for a few months in excruciating pain. I couldnt sleep & used to rock myself crying bc of the pain. I was put on Motrin 800's 3x's a day & Tylenol 3's at night to be able to sleep & get relief. After a month I was just on the Motrin 800's 3x's a day. I'm still on that dosage but now they wear off faster & faster & the constant pain is creeping up again. It's only been about 16 months since I saw the doctor last & got tests regarding it. I groom dogs & use the computer for school so you can see my hands dont get a break. Yes I've done the splints, I've gotten the massages & I even lost weight & nothing has ever helped me enough to say that I am living comfortably other then the high drug dosages. I dont want to be on drugs my whole life & rely on them & the long term effects. I want to be off the Motrin & be comfortable. I dont want to live in pain. I'm frustrated even as I write this & I'm to the point of just crying bc I feel I'm never gonna be useful due to this. I'm hoping beyond all hope that there is something more natural I can do to help alleviate the pain & make me feel more normal. My only option next is to have surgery & hope that it helps me like it has helped others I know. Thanks for listening to my whining, Dawn
Guest guest
Dawn, Vitamin B-6 is very beneficial for carpal tunnel syndrome. I also recommend a natural anti-inflammatory product called IF-C to my clients with carpal tunnel. Also taking a good quality antioxidant is very beneficial (make sure this is one that doesn't contain additives or preservatives). Chiropractic adjustment could also help. Guest guest
You can go to the site http://www.copperhealth.com/coil_printable_version.htm and read about a Lakhovsky Coil that has relieved the pain of others. It is easy to make and the full instructions are there. , " Dawn " <abnrmlisme wrote: > > I am posting this here in hopes of finding something, even 1 last > method before I give in & have surgery. Guest guest
Dawn, There are several things I would suggest trying prior to surgery. You could find an acupuncturist and see if that solves the problem. Also I'd try eating about half a fresh pineapple every day for about 2 weeks. It contains bromelain which reduces pain and inflammation. I'd also consider working with a homeopath. You could start by trying rhus tox and see if you get any relief from that. Just in general you could also try juicing vegetables and fasting which will allow the body to heal and cleanse itself. Guest guest
First of all, allow me to introduce myself...I just joined this wonderful list yesterday! My name Eire and I'm a student at Clayton College of Natural Medicine...I'm still in the learning stages, but this much I have learned about carpal tunnel being as I'm a sufferer myself, though not as serious as yours...have you tried Vitamen B6? I'm not sure what the dosing would be...like I said I'm still a student, but for me, it works...I only take one a day...it did take a while to feel the effects, but it did eventually help...hope this helps you a little!! Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I'm sorry to hear about your pain, I know that it can be excruciating at times. The pain may radiate into your wrists, but there could be other problems in your elbows or even your shoulders. It's worth checking out. My main suggestion would be to find a qualified Acupuncturist or someone that specializes in Acupressure and have them look at you. Having the surgery is a complete LAST DITCH effort, and sadly MAY not stop the pain. My mom being one of the proofs of this, it can actually make the pain worse. I'd encourage you to find the help you need and wish you all the best. Guest guest
Dawn, I hear your concern, and i have been working on a project that has been changing peoples lives. My uncle Anthony is currently using this product and has helped his tennis elbow. I personally take it for my own health. I also work with my hands all the time. I am a proof operator and i put the numbers on the bottom of checks. This repetition scares me that I might also get CT. You may or may not be interested in this but here is some information on seabuckthorn berries. If you are willing to give this a chance and use it for a few months, I would say it would change your life. Here is the web address where you can try it. www.mysibu.com/jsnow . if you are interested just email me or call mefor any questions or concerns about seabuckthorn, and I will be happy to answer. His wife had it.He said in the past people used to take a large heavy object like a book and smash the knot. he knows a pianist who still does this! fortunately I knew an accupuncturist who said he thought he could help. After treatments one a week 4or6 times,it was GONE! I hope you live in an area where you can find a good accupunturist. Mine has not returned! It would be worth traveling to get help to avoid the danger of surgery because of all the nerves in the wrist. It is a heck of a lot cheaper . In the chicago area accupuncturist are about $50 an hour. PS my wrist knot was the size of a small walnut shell. Keep loking it is worth it. good luck, fran
