Guest guest
My 3 year old daughter has been suffering from an itchy and painful rash behind both knees and elbows off and on ever since she was a few weeks old. She often cries because it hurts so bad. I have tried lavender oil, tea tree oil, calendula cream, and sulphur--30 C most recently. Can anyone help us or shed some light on this problem? I can't bear to see her suffer from this anymore. She has been vaccinated, and I'm suspicious that her rashes may be a result of that. I've since learned of the dangers of vaccinations. Thanks for listening and I hope to gain some insight from this wise group. ~Connie How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Hi Connie, Your daughter's condition may be caused by many things. But, it may just be that she is allergic to her body's sweat. I would first try a very safe treatment to see if it is an allergy. Put 1/4 teaspoon of vitamin C powder or crystals (pure C with no fillers) in a cup of juice. Crush a B5 (or pantothenic acid) vitamin pill until it is fine and add to the juice and C. The dosage should be about 500 mgs. of B5. Mix well until disolved completely and give your baby 1/4 cup every four hours. This combination helps the cells of the body be less permeable to allergens and if it is an allergy the condition should begin to show signs of improvement within a few days. Continue the calendula cream or any other soothing creams such as oatmeal, etc. to keep her comfortable. If the condition improves or disappears you will have your answer. But, you may need to give her this juice and vitamin combination occasionally to keep the condition from returning. Many times children outgrow allergies and she may never have a problem again. This combination of vitamins, vit. C, B5 or pantothenic acid, with B6 added also heals fever blisters. Also be sure she is getting adequate B vitamins for healthy skin. There are many more exotic treatments out there but this is an old tried and true remedy for many skin problems. I hope this helps. If you have any questions for me you may reach me at merada555. Best wishes for you and your little girl. Guest guest
HI, Constance - sounds very similar to what my son had when he was 3-3.5 (he's 14.5 now). At first we just used conventional medicine, because we didn't know much about holistic approaches much then. They used cortisone creams on him to stop the rash and itching (poor mite, he was really good a bout not scratching, even though it drove him crazy - and I mean crazy.. it really affected his behaviour to be in such discomfort, but he also recognised pretty early on that scratching made it much worse). Once the cortisone was stopped, the rash came back and then some. Finally went to a much recommended naturopath, and he took one look and drew blood for the ELISA test for food allergies. What came back astonished us, as our son had a very healthy appetite for very healthy foods (at that age, I was making a thick soup from scratch, twice a day, which he really loved - tofu, all kinds of vegetables, simmered together and then pureed - that was his breakfast and lunch for almost 2 years - now I realise that all that tofu did him more harm than good). Anyway, we removed all the offending foods, and what a list it was - among the " usual " allergy causing foods like cow's milk, chicken, chicken eggs, soy, gluten (so no wheat, oats, barley or rye), he was allergic to citrus, garlic, goat's milk, and the list went on to include nearly a hundred foods. But peanuts weren't on the list! (Just thought I'd mention that one in particular, as it can be such a major life-threatening allergen.) Our son was also vaccinated, but only up to the ones they receive at 15-18 months, because with that one he had a bad reaction (screamed for about 3 days and had a fever and lots of swelling). He's never had any since. All this was in the US, BTW, we live in New Zealand now, and have done for about 4 years. After removing all the offending foods from his diet, the rash was gone within about 10 days, and his behaviour really settled down. He was a happy chap again, whereas he'd started having rages about the littlest things. After about 2 years, we started slowly reintroducing the foods, one at a time, over several months. He was over most of the allergies, but still has trouble with soy and wheat, but only if he eat a lot so he doesn't. He's very good about what he eats, and he's our self-appointed food police! Hope that helps. I would suggest that your daughter has food allergies and the rashes are her body's way of expressing that. Guest guest
here is something that will work great. This has cleared up my scalp rash. It is very good for skin, and also total balance. It has Omega -3, -6, -7, and -9 fatty acids and full of other vitamins and minerals. It comes from the seabuckthorn fruit. Here is a site to check it out. www.mysibu.com/jsnow. --- In , constance young <connieyounglmt wrote: > > My 3 year old daughter has been suffering from an itchy and painful rash behind both knees and elbows off and on ever since she was a few weeks old.
