Guest guest
Fluoride Action Network has asked us to post this invitation to their conference. Please read the following about this exciting event. Thanks, The POWA Team * FLUORIDE CONFERENCE FOR CITIZENS (July 28 - August 1, Canton, NY) Fluoride. It's in toothpaste, water, pesticides, and processed foods. Americans are ingesting more of this bio-accumulating compound than ever before. What are the health implications of this increased exposure? Why is the CDC ignoring health concerns and promoting more water fluoridation? The 2nd Citizens' Conference on Fluoride (July 28 - August 1) presents citizens a unique opportunity to meet and learn from leading scientists about the serious, multifaceted health concerns with current fluoride exposures. The conference follows closely on the March 22 release of the National Research Council (NRC) groundbreaking report: " Fluoride in Drinking Water: Scientific Review of EPA's Standards. " According to the NRC, fluoride exposure may cause a variety of serious health conditions, ranging from hip fracture, to thyroid disorders, to dementia. To clarify the NRC's findings on how fluoride can damage the brain, the thyroid gland, and teeth, the 2nd Citizens Conference on Fluoride will feature presentations from 3 of the scientists who authored the NRC review. Other featured presentations include: Dr. Jennifer Luke, the British scientist who studied the impact of fluoride on the pineal gland; Dr. William Hirzy, an EPA scientist, on why the EPA's Headquarters Union of Professionals is calling for a congressional investigation into fluoridation; Dr. Donald Taves, a former top, government-funded, scientist on fluoride toxicity; and a panel of dentists on why they now oppose fluoridation. According to the Director of the Fluoride Action Network, Dr. Paul Connett, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at St. Lawrence University, " I do not believe that any one who reads the NRC report with an open mind can any longer support water fluoridation. There is simply no margin of safety. We hope that being able to meet the panel members in person, will excite more people to help end this practice, once and for all. Come learn the science, help fight the politics and have some fun doing it!
