Guest guest
Peter King asked: Who among us practices Reiki? I do, usually in combination with Reflexology. Love it! Should remember to self-treat more. Ien in the Kootenays ************************** Stop. Breathe. Guest guest
Hi Peter, Good to get the information about the Reiki CD, although I am still of the mind that it isn't great to produce the symbols publickly. I'm a Reiki Amster teacher in Seattle and have a Reiki Master week intensive every year in Tulum, near the ruins in the Yucatan. This year it is for all healers to come, most of whom are already Reiki Masters. Warm regards, Suryo gardner, Seattle Peter King <innomne wrote: Hi Everyone, Merely for everyones information MG Music has just released a CD with both the Reiki principals and the 4 Symbols spoken in Japanese. http://www.mgmusic.ltd.uk/albums/namaste-true-reiki.asp They also plan on doing a complete therapy series. Guest guest
Good to get the information about the Reiki CD, although I am still of the mind that it isn't great to produce the symbols publickly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I totally agree. It's estimated that there are over 200,000 Reiki Master Teachers in the world today with more than 1,000,000 practitioners ~ and the numbers continue to grow. While Reiki is certainly open to everyone, the symbols are sacred and (IMO) are best passed down from teacher to student in an honoring manner that reflects that. I was recently at a health related workshop presented by a level II Reiki practioner. She actually drew a symbol on the chalkboard for the group to see. What really got me was that it wasn't drawn correctly! I cringed but didn't say anything. Someone else asked about it and she said, " Oh, this is the way I draw it, because it's easier for me " . OUCH. Michelle
Guest guest
As a teacher as well I agree with you that despite the common distribution of the symbols they are still key tools in teaching. I should point out that although the pronounciations are on the CD they themselves are not illustrated, just the japanese phonetics.
