Guest guest
There is a doctrine in alternative medicine whereby the shape of a leaf or fruit suggests its medicinal use - not childish, as it at first sounds, but indicative of a deep respect for nature and her patterns - this is called the Doctrine of Signatures. There is also a doctrine used in the explanation of e.g., homeopathy and how it works, which emphasises the potency of small amounts of substances and slight effects in influencing patient well-being. My question is, does the latter doctrine, which is not, of course, confined to homeopathy, also have a name? Richard Comaish London
