I would also like to suggest learning more about food

allergies/sensitivities and environmental allergies and their connection to

ADD ADHD. One book to read is Is this Your Child by Doris Rapp.

Until correct diagnosis and treatment of our sons environmental allergies

and food allergies he could have been classified as ADHD.

We had noticed when he was only 6 months old that if he ate certain foods

that he became unmanageable. As he got older we discovered several foods

(different for each child but his are apples, peaches, pears, melon and

yeast) that would cause him to bounce off the walls.

As we have eliminated all of these from his diet and successfully treated

his environmental allergies he is a different child. He still tends to be

excitable however, no more than any other 7 year old that we know. He is

able to concentrate at school and control his impulses so much better!!!

You may also want to consider chemical causes for ADD or ADHD. The

medications that we were giving him to try and control his environmental

allergies we making him so hyper that there were days that I would sit and

cry becuase I could not handle him. We are now treating his environmental

allergies naturally using sublingual immunotherapy.

I would be happy to share more extensive information if you are interested.

Yes, there is a natural remedy called FOCUS for children and

adults.

Focus ADHD Formula is a 100% natural, safe and proven herbal

remedy, clinically formulated to effectively treat symptoms of

ADHD without the side effects of psychiatric drugs such as

Ritalin, Concerta and Adderall.

Yes, please read Dr. Rapp!

Allergies is high on the list of 50 conditions

that can mimick ADD.

Some are common, like hypoglycemia, others

like seizure disorders are mercifully rare.

Here is an excerpt from a series I was in the

process of writing, and in typical ADDult fashion

never got finished.

50 Conditions that mimic ADD

Let's start looking at pieces of the ADD puzzle, aka

the 'nothing but' factors.

You know what I mean. Parents with an ADD child have

to put up with people telling them that ADD is nothing

but.....take your pick. Anything from too much sugar

to learning disabilities to boys being boys to not

enough discipline.

This drives hard-working overburdened parents nuts.

Especially if they have already tried many of the

suggestions and they have not worked.

It is still a good idea to look at this list and to

investigate the conditions one by one.

You can find the whole list here (scroll down a bit

and look in the left side bar)

http://www.adhdtesting.org/

Hypoglycemia is number 1 on the list for good reason.

I should get back to it.....
