Guest guest
I will just use the turbinado until I locate the Mascavo sugar. I have quite a few resources where I am, but not much time to go and shop. Grrrrrrr! I don't even know if this recipe is " all that " and I don't use sugar often, so I am not too worried at the moment. I use to fill our sugar bowl weekly, now I only use it for company, when the oldsters come over. And even now my Mom and Dad are avoiding sugar! I just picked up some stevia in packets to have on hand. I also gave two packets to Dad for him and Mom to try. It has to be better than Splenda! I was told by my nutritionist that I just started seeing to stop drinking coffee, so I don't really need sugar. She told me to replace it with a cup or 2 of green tea. I do not like sweet tea, so that is so wonderful for me because the coffee was prompting me to use sweeteners. She told me to give my children more protien. she suggested that I use 3/4 cup of Spelt (because I love Spelt) and 1/4 cup of Soy flour in recipies. (making a ration of 3:1 Spelt:Soy is what I am trying to spit out) she said that it would add protien to what we eat. Just a little tid bit I figured I would share with you. thanks for your help Tint! I guess as long as it says something along the line of raw sugar on the packaging. Hugz Tint~ Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, " I will try again tomorrow " ---- TheKoolLottes 05/25/06 16:35:15 Re: RE: Re: Turbinado Sugar Tint, I just picked up a recipe for cookies that call for this Turbinado. i did not find any at the health food store. What would you use as a replacement? Lorain
