Thank you so much for the info, Betty! To continue beating this subject to

death :) I went out on a Stevia hunt today. What I found rather shocked me.

In herbal remedy shops here (Brazil), Stevia comes combined with saccarin. I

did eventually find plain unadulterated (I hope) Stevia powder at great

expense, which I will try. I am still looking for the plant.

 

So stevia is good for diabetics too? Interesting

Saccharin, actually contains aspartame. They have altered the formula of

the most common type of saccharin, sodium saccharin, in order to actually

bond

the aspartame molecule to the saccharin molecule, so that they can

technically call the stuff saccharin, although in the strictest sense, it is

 

aspartame....
