Hi everyone

This is my first post here, I have really found all the information interesting

and everyone so caring, it's a great group.

My main interests are in aromatherapy, reiki, yoga and nutrition. I'm not a

qualified therapist but am always reading about these and other subjects and I

use much of what I've learnt for myself and my family.

I would appreciate any comments anyone would like to make on the subject of

arthritis...my Mum has been suffering for many years, mainly in her hands, and

has decided to make a big effort to tackle the problem. She is planning to

change her diet, at least to give it a go for 3 months or more, and I wonder if

anyone has any additional suggestions or comments on her approach:

For a start she'll be taking cider vinegar and honey 3 times a day, as well as

molasses and a multivitamin/mineral supplement.

She's cutting out dairy products, except for cottage cheese (would goats' cheese

be ok I wonder?). Also citrus fruits, strawberries, gooseberries, rhubarb and

pineapple, all red meats, ham, bacon etc, salt, refined sugar and flour

products, alcohol, caffeine, and tomatoes.

These are the main rules. I think she's also planning to take some epsom salt

baths, although she has tried these before and found the subsequent sweating

exhausting. (I don't know much about this).

Many thanks for any recommendations or tips.

Blessings

Sarah
