Hello tints_den,

In reference to your comment:

On the same subject (more or less), how much do you know about saccharin?

Saccharin, actually contains aspartame. They have altered the formula of

the most common type of saccharin, sodium saccharin, in order to actually bond

the aspartame molecule to the saccharin molecule, so that they can

technically call the stuff saccharin, although in the strictest sense, it is

aspartame....

Maltodextrin can be a problem. It is actually a type of dextrose, which is

produced by a fermentation process. The problem with maltodextrin is that it

contains certain chemicals which are, essentially, impurities that are

produced in the process of making the stuff, and the one which causes

problems is MSG - monosodium glutamate. MSG is also an " excitotoxin " , which

is what aspartame is. It causes problems in the brain, which I will not get

into the details of their nature. But, essentially, aspartame users become

sensitized to all excitotoxins, such that it is now not only critical for

them to avoid the intake of aspartame, but they must attempt to also avoid

any intake of MSG, or they will typically suffer the same symptoms as they

would if they were to consume aspartame.

This is in reply to Carl's post about having seizures and wanting to know

more about Sucralose/Splenda. This is a post I did for someone else who

had questions. This is directly from Dr. Roberts medical text, and he has

information on several sweeteners, things to avoid, detoxification,

information on withdrawal, etc.

If you're diabetic and need to use a sweetener the best thing is Stevia and

there is a resource guide on www.dorway.com These chemical sweeteners are

very dangerous and it has been shown that artificial sweeteners are not

diet products. In the case of aspartame, of course, its a drug that makes

you crave carbohydrates so you gain weight. And the formaldehyde converted

from the wood alcohol accumulates in the cells and damages DNA.

If you are not diabetic there is a safe sweetener list on

www.dorway.com and www.holisticmed.com/aspartame I use raw sugar myself.

All my best,

Betty

Dear List:

As I have mentioned many times as you get off aspartame, stay away from

chemicals as anyone who has used this toxin is now chemically

hypersensitive. And also don't buy drinks in plastic bottles. As I

mentioned earlier Splenda has a chlorinated base like DDT and can cause

autoimmune disease. And never drink water from the tap as it has chlorine

and fluoride in it. Below are the dangers of chlorine and, of course,

fluoride is a neurotoxin. And there is a synergistic effect between

aspartame (NutraSweet/Equal/Spoonful, Canderal, Benevia, etc.), a

neurotoxin and fluoride.

I never drink water from the tap, and especially because here in Georgia

water comes from the Chattahoochee.River. Remember that Coke sells water,

and in a plastic container. Wherever you see a Coke Machine you will see

bottled water sold by Coke. Interestingly, I stopped drinking water from

the tap years ago not to get Atlanta water and now Coke is selling it in

bottles. While Coke says they " clean it up " , do you trust Coke. Remember

Coke is a member of the National Soft Drink Association who did the 30

pages protest that was made part of the Congressional Record (on

www.dorway.com) giving you the dangers of using aspartame is carbonated

beverages. Yet, the pop companies knowing this decided to use this deadly

toxin anyway, and with full knowledge that it breaks down at 86 degrees as

mentioned in the protest sent diet pop to cook in the 120 degree Arabian

sun - 40,000 innocent men and women perished with symptoms identical to

Aspartame Disease. Do you trust Coke that they cleaned up this water?

Read on about Chlorine, and then ask the FDA why they approved Splenda

knowing it has a chlorinated base and could cause autoimmine disease? Safe

sweetener list on www.dorway.com and www.holisticmed.com/aspartame

All my best,

Betty
