Guest guest
I get horrible heartburn. Not sure what is causing it. Could be I have Hashimoto's and my body does a swing at times. So digestion might be slow. I do take digestive enzymes which have helped a great deal. But again today I have horrible heartburn. Last night I had some green peppers. Thats the only thing that was different. But now I suffer with the burn. What is a good alternative product to use to help this heal or to get relief? Is Aloe good for this? Thanks alot Gwen
Guest guest
Hi Gwen, Yeppers, green peppers are good for causing that. Try 'em roasted next time - that seems to take alot of the " sting " out of them. I swear by Nux Vom, a homeopathic remedy, for heartburn and stomach problems of all kinds and it works like a charm. Remedies cost about 6-7 bucks for 100 tablets and that bets the pharma drug products hands down. Those things are expensive! If you don't have a health food store nearby it's easy to mail order remedies. I use www.abchomeopathy.com. I would also try Peppermint EO. Just a drop on the tongue does wonders... and even just inhaling it helps as well. Make sure it is an organic pure oil though. Hope this helps, Mouse gwenbob39 wrote: >I get horrible heartburn. Guest guest
I drink Aloe juice in the morning with a small glass of OJ also mixed with water to cut the acid. Then breakfast- I find that the aloe vera juice really helps with the GERD that I sometimes get. It also helps with constipation. There is a brand that is totally tasteless-but I don't know which one it is, that is why I drink it with orange juice. Does anyone know which brand of aloe vera juice is tasteless? Guest guest
I agree aloe vera is great for heartburn and other stomach maladies. Just be careful purchasing aloe vera that claims to be tasteless. Removing the taste can leave you with a product that is only 10–15 percent aloe vera. I drink an aloe vera juice that is 100% pure and the taste is actually pretty good.
