Also, ask the person to 'stick' out the tongue...if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side that is also an indication of a stroke. Dr. Leo Rebello recommends following immediate steps once stroke has been identified :- Rest the patient and fan him or her. Do not give anything stimulating to drink. Take a clean needle, sterilize it if necessary,and prick all ten fingers of the hand, one by one, drawing out a drop or two of blood from each finger.
