could anyone tell me of a natural substitute for lowering blood

pressure & ridding the body of excess fluid? I currently take valerian

capsules which are useful for lowering blood pressure but not for

removing fluid, and I don't really like the side effects, such as

feeling sleepy all day! Thanks, Ashera.

There are many healthy natural diuretics.

Did you know that the French for Dandelion

is Pissenlit?

Lit is bed. You can figure out the rest.

Dandelion is great for liver and pancreas

function too.

Parsley and Celery are also good.

Hi Ashera ,

I to have hypertension and have been taking Diovan for years along with medication for

Diabetes, and high cholesterol. But in the last two months with the approval from my

doctor, I have been able to go off my medications by exercising along with TaiChi, QiKong , changing my diet, meditation ( 1- 2x day), drinking White Tea, and using

a sweetener called Stevia. White Tea and Stevia have amazing medical benefits!

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and a big advocate of Holistic Medicine. I am very

fortunate to have a western medical doctor that believes western and eastern medicine

can very much compliment each other. Have you thought about acupuncture as well?

My son uses acupuncture for his allergies and asthma. His doctor has told me several

times the success she has with people with hypertension.

There are also diuretic teas you can drink that help with excess fluids in the body.

If you would like more information, please see the links below.

Hope this helps.
