I've found that in my 20s and 30s, I had nothing more than a bit of a headache for a few days when I quit caffeine. But since having years of chronic fatigue/etc, I find myself even more dependent on caffeine to get me going in the morning: when I don't have it, I really drag (I usually drag, but I mean REALLY drag I've tried cutting back a bit each day, but I fail after a day or so.
