I felth really good after I took. I have had ppd. I also heard it is good for a breastfeeding baby. Does anyone have experience with it? Guest guest Posted March 25, 2006 Report Share Posted March 25, 2006 Dear riley, Shatavari is one of the reputed herb used in the system of ayurveda.It is proved rjuvenater and a best galagtogogue(Which increases breast milk).It is the major herb for female disorders such as leucorrhoea,hormonal imbalance etc.Literally in sanskrit Shatavari means"Which possesses hundred husbands".That means it offers such a great health and strength to a woman.A boon for the females.Many studies have been conducted on this and showed as a good immunomodulator,adaptogen,anti inflammatory,neuro protective.There are many uses described in ayurveda.In english it is called asparagus roots and in Latin it is called "Asparagus racemosus".It can be safely used .there is no harm using it for long time also.If you need futher information i shall provide.
