Guest guest
Rescue Remedy Works! It's inexpensive - you can get it at almost any health food store. When in practice, we routinely used it before treatment to give patients a calmer, more pleasant visit. Guest guest
RR works well! I give it to my dogs also for thunder. it seems harmless and works wonders. why do you need a natural recipe for it? its fairly inexpensive. I think it would be more to make it yourself. I have read that Bach made the remedies by soaking the herbs in spring water and then adding a small amount of alcohol to it. That info was in a book called Freedom From Fear Forever - author: Durlacher. Guest guest
You can make the recipe yourself. You need the fresh plant blossoms for each plant in rescue remedy (rock rose, impatiens, clematis, star of bethlehem and cherry plum), a bright sunny day with no clouds for at least 4 hours straight, some distilled water, 5 crystal glasses or bowls (1 for each type of blossom, regular glass is ok) and clear intent. Here are some directions http://www.bfvea.com/making.html , there are many different versions of directions floating around on the net. Yes, it's easier to buy it! , " terresem " <terresem> wrote: > > Does anyone know of a " homemade recipe " for > Bach's " Rescue Remedy " ? This is really expensive, but she is the just the most wonderful dog! I figure that if this stuff is " natural " I should be able to make it myself. Has anyone had any experience with Rescue Remedy? Guest guest
My girlfriend used it on her cat that was very timid & would run & hide under the bed. She said it worked. She now takes other Bach Flower remedies for herself. She said it appears to work for her, too. I used Rock Water & Red Chestnut. I believe it helped my emotional state. Guest guest
My cat also has his own bottle of rescue remedy. We just moved to the mountins (8000 ft) and yes we did " drug " him for the 6 hr trip, along with RR. Its wonderful for animals. Guest guest
-- My sister says it helps if she takes it right away- but it has to be as soon as she " feels funny " - Even her doctor told her it is so totally harmless she should use it. Guest guest
Valerian and/or passion flower might be good for anxiety and/or panic.. (I don't think I like hops much, but they are supposed to be calming, too.. ) also the amino acids GABA, tryptophan, and/or L-theanine. I'd also be taking B complex vitamins, and phosphatidylcholine (from lecithin, or just eat the raw eggs, as suggested on this list.. : ) I'm sure the approach of Doc and others on this list would work even better, that is, do a thorough cleansing and then get tons of nutrition from foods, herbs and vegetables, etc. Using medicinal herbs to balance problem areas.. I enthusiastically suggest that anyone with depression or anxiety, try to get regular sleep, aerobic exercise, and good nutrition, throughout the day. Breakfast is important! Breathing is important, too.. : ) Scott. Guest guest
Yes it does have alcohol, but i usually put it in water which causes the alcohol to evaporate. I still get the same effect. alcohol can have a mellowing effect, but it is not good for your body. i get a bottle of water and put several drops of bach flower remedies and just take a swig of water when i think i need it. it works just fine. ramona Quoting sncboom58 <sncboom58: > I recently bought rescue remedy and it seems to work to subdue some > anxiety, although you can tell the alcohol content when you spray it > on your tongue. Guest guest
One of the wonderful girls/ladies on this site (my emails don't save that far back) recommended Rescue Remedy when I am having an anxiety attack or emotional crisis. So, I ordered some. It arrived in the mail during a period when I felt extremely high strung and having a hard time trying to breathe without having to go to sleep to do it. I'd do anything to feel calm. After a quick prayer that I wouldn't be allergic to any of the ingredients, I put 4 drops on my tongue as directed. The first thing I noticed was the 27 percent alcohol. Not much in 4 drops, but psychologically, it was like I had a drink. It tasted pleasant enough, and almost immediately I felt a calm all over my body. Then a flutter in my stomach. I was afraid that I'd swallowed a poison and was going to get sick. But walking home from the mailboxes, the elixir moved all through my blood stream, and I actually felt so much better for the rest of the evening. The ingredients are Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum, Rock Rose, and Clematis. I have it here by my computer in case I feel distraught again. Thank you for the suggestion. It helped me! Guest guest
Athena, Have you tried Omega 3 supplements, Flax seeds/oil in your diet? It is supposed to be helpful for anxiety, depression, bipolar. Just thought I would mention that since many people I know swear by it. I recommended it to you because I use it not only for myself but also for my 10 year old son who has social anxiety, it helps him stay calm. Best of luck!
