I'm thinking that a garlic paste applied directly to the affected area would do something.

OK, now my 20-year-old son has informed me that he has 14 plantar warts on his right foot. In an article by Doc, he says to use the following for warts: Garlic; Echinacea Plus Formula; Total Tonic; DMSO. My question is how much. Starting with garlic, I’m wondering how much he should take and in what form. And is there anything topical he can do for this? Would soaking his foot in very hot water help to kill the virus? Would epsom salt help? Any other suggestions?

 

He also wants to start the Total Body Cleanse, which will, of course, help a lot, but I’m not sure when he can start it, so what can he do in the mean time?

Warts

Hi,

 

For plantar warts....soak the affected foot in some very warm water, until the wart 'opens' up, and you can see the 'seeds' in the wart.

 

File with a foot file, or even an emery board. Soak some more. Then take cotton balls, soaked in castor oil, and apply to the wart, and cover with bandaids or tape. Leave on overnight. Do this every day.

 

The warts should go away within a few weeks.

 

I had this problem years ago, and I also 'cut' mine out with nail clippers....although I DO NOT recommend this for anyone else. I am notorious for doing 'bathroom surgeries' on myself. LOL

 

Seriously.....this should help. Also, my daughter had a wart on her finger, that we covered with duct tape, left on overnight, and changed the tape each day until the wart disappeared.

 

HTH a bit......I do know from experience that the castor oil and the soaking and filing really do work....and my plantar warts have never returned.

Hi Catherine, I had both feet covered in plantar warts. About 3 mths

following the supplementation of the Oxygen Elements Plus I found the

warts were gone. I didn't need to do anything, I guess the added

oxygen in my system made for an uncomfortable situation for the wart

virus!!! I wasn't sad as my walking was much nicer!!!!!

I have also had 4 big ugly black moles dissappear. They become itchy,

rough and I just rubbed them and they are now just a small

discoloration on my side and back. I always was concerned about those

and now don't have to worry. My body took them away on its own!!!!

Hello Anne

Again not TCM, but I painted clear nail polish directly onto my

daughters warts (she only had a couple) and a little on the

surrounding area too and we kept re-applying. They all disappeared.

Might take a week or two.

 

Duct tape is another solution if you don't like the thought of a

chemical on the skin, although I have not tried it.

 

My Swedish mother-in-law who is a nursing sister gave me this tip and

I think it works because you deprive the wart of oxygen. So

consistent application is the key.

I had that problem in the 7th grade. My family's Doctor gave me some pills. I

asked him if they had any side effects. He said they would make my stools

have an offensive odor and if I should happen to pass " a fanny burp " everyone

would know that I had or someone had eaten onions.

 

In a month the warts were just dropping out. There were hundreds of them, just

dropping off in a month. The doctor was relieved because he had not been sure

that the pills would work.

 

Years later I got another plantar wart. I tracked down the doctor who had

retired and asked what the pills were. He said forget them, they have been

taken off the market. They were working by placebo effect, it had been

determined.

 

Moral to the story. Give her some pills, perhaps liu wei di huang wan or some

other tonic that won't hurt her. Tell her it might make her stool stink. Wait

for the warts to drop off.

Funny story, Pete. I had used direct moxa on one

plantar wart when I was a student, daily for weeks, if

not months. Eventually, the wart shriveled up and

died, and I was able to lift it out of my foot with a

toothpick. I have another one now, but not the

patience for daily moxa treatments, so I'd also like

to hear suggestions.

When soup is hot rub on warts. Do this three times per day (always

hot and rub until area turns red and sore) and on forth day warts

will be gone.

 

Duct tape works as well but sometimes a scar is formed that way, esp

Again, not TCM...

Garlic can at times work: cut garlic in slices and put a slice directly on

the wart. Keep it in place with some plaster.

A potent (yes, I know it has a toxicity level...) plant is Thuya. Tincture

or essential oil diretcly on the wart. Make sure the nearby skin is

protected.

Using hydrogen peroxide directly on warts 2 times a day worked for some of my

clients.

placing a small piece of plain old silver duck tape over the wart. It takes

I made a triple strength soap with Tea Tree EO and within 3-4 weeks of use in

tub the warts where gone, that has been almost 3yrs ago they have not returned.

 

The warts that where causing the most trouble where on the soles of both of my

daughter’s feet and where so deep that the doctor would not cut/remove them for

fear of doing more damage than good.

How did you make the soap? I have only used the tea tree neat and it

did help, but a soap would easier to admin i would think. Would be a

good product for many a derma condition...

I made a simple small batch of castile soap from a recipe at

http://millersoap.com/castile.html#FavCastSuds and used 1oz of Tea Tree EO. My

girls then used it just as they would any other bath soap, at the time I only

had vague knowledge of EO’s but there are quite a few other oils that could have

been added to the mix, I just used what I had at the time.
