question about blood sugar

I have a question about blood sugar.

I am borderline diabetic, so have been trying watch what I eat, exercise, etc.. and I keep track of my blood sugar.

One thing I've noticed is that overnight it will go down, then back up again. I think somewhere I read it was called sundowners????

the other thing is that it should go DOWN when you exercise, right?

I've been checking it and it hasn't lately been going down..but I've also taken supplements, tinctures etc so today I decided to not eat anything before doing my walking.

Before the walk it was 112

After the 30 minute walk it was 134

10 minutes later is was 135

20 min later it was 145

so why would it go UP instead of down?I haven't had anything to eat to interfere...

any ideas?????Kim

Kim,

Exercise without recent food intake will force the liver to produce glycogen and triglyceride levels go up, in order to produce energy for the body. People that aren't diabetic or borderline, don't have the extremes in blood levels.

I was notorious for not eating half the day, but when I became borderline diabetic, my dietician told me that was the worst thing to do to the body and she mentioned the above. She recommended walnuts or almonds to promote a stable blood sugar in between meals, due to the protein.

Hope that makes sense.

I have read on the jars of the natural

progesterone that it may cause cancer. Is it worth the risk to use them?

Sherry,

I used to order natural progesterone in a tube that was one of Dr. Lee's recommendations. He was the one who wrote the book on taking natural progesterone for perimenopausal symptoms. I never saw a warning on the label then..that was 3 years ago when I quit. I used to belong to a natural hormone alternatives group where I got excellent information. Many people also used the Women's Pharmacy in Madison for "compounded natural hormones" with success. I felt it helped me at the time, to reduce my symptoms. What brand do you have? If it's natural, it should not cause cancer applied to the skin in the very tiny amount that is recommended. Arbonne is a good brand. I think I had NuWays or something. Some have more progesterone in them than others.

Sherry,

In my opinion the best endocrine support is to use safe, natural

phytosterols that assist the body to produce its own natural hormones again

like it was designed to do. I chose to represent the one I think is the

best. I don't know if it will help you but it has helped so many others

with your concerns and issues. You can buy them retail or I can help you

register your own account with the company to get them at the same wholesale

rate that I buy them for. Feel free to contact me privately for specific

information.

Blessings.

Lor,

I never purchased any. The warning

on the jar scared me. I will reinvestigate it.

Thanks

There may be other states with this requirement; in the state of

California, the label of any progesterone cream must state this

caution. The progesterone cream where research has shown to cause

cancer is in the prescription, synthetic progesterone usually called

progestin. Unfortunately, the precautions must be stated on both

natural and synthetic creams.

That was the exact warning I read. It was

on an over the counter progesterone cream put out by Rexall.
