Guest guest
Hi Jtenright, My husband is a diabetic. He was misdiagnosed for 3 mths. He lost 25 lbs in 3 mths and energy was low. His dr missed the diabetic diagnosis and because of that he had damage to his kidneys. We, with working over the last yr have regressed the kidney damage which is unheard of and my husband is doing famously on only a few excellent supplements. He has a friend who is not as smart as my husband. My husband told his friend he has diabetis just from his symptoms, wt loss, poor appetite, low energy, --- my husband to prove his point tested his friend one night. His sugars were pretty high. His friend went to the dr who did tests. His sugars came back slightly raised. His dr told him he was not really a diabetic, just on the brink. Well with that I went researching, super slooth!!!. Sorry doc, once you have even slightly raised sugars you are diabetic. There is no sort of having diabetis!!!! You have it or you don't. My husbands friend didn't want to hear that but did go back for more testing, subsequently his sugars came back even more elevated, his dr told him to stop drinking so much reg pop!!! Well that was good advise!!! That was a yr ago. He continues to negate that fact he has diabetis. He has almost continous gout, so bad he can't work some days. I wish he would wake up as his kidneys are having a big problem. Upon diagnosis from a real dr I will expect he will have marked kidney damage and have worse problems with his B/P. So be it for some people who don't seek out the full answers. Sometimes the answers we want are not there, you have to figure out the best way to deal with what you are dealt. The supplements my husband takes are on www.naturalguidetohealth.com. He lives a huge stressful life, but a wonderfully healthy one. Gotta love balance and health smarts!!!!! Guest guest
weight loss with diabetes? I've been gaining weight, not losing..I wish I was losing.. poor appetite...again, just the opposite for me. low energy..that I do have. I was told I was " borderline diabetic " I sent my mom to the Dr to get tested..her fasting level was 123, so the Dr said she was fine. I told her to get a meter so she could keep an eye on her levels, but since she is 67, she has to go thru medicare first and they refused it ... she has to be worse.. She did go buy one herself, but hasn't been using it now that I've come back home. She just believes the Dr too that she is fine I guess. I don't know why the Dr's do that.
