Guest guest
STEALING TIME FOR MUDRAS – part 1 copyright, mumbai, India , e-mail:- dkishan Though we have enough time in our waking life, still we say that we do not have the time to do certain things. Mudras are such exercises which do not need any preparation and can be started and stopped at any time. The action starts in around 2 minutes and anything beyond that gives you some energy movement. Since it is just joining thumb with different fingers, it can be done easily. The following note is for people who drive self or are driven as also those who travel by buses or trains or cars. Self Driving :- While driving your thumb and index finger are very near each other. There are few very good mudras which can be done without the risk of any accident though one has to use his own discretion and I am not responsible for any mis-haps, if any. Relaxation mudra :- this is touching the outer portion of the first flange of index finger. This gives you better clarity of thought and relaxes you. When you drive longer hours, it should help you and specially when you drive in tense conditions, will be helpful. Ahamkara Mudra :- the 2nd flange of the index finger to be touched/ people have not understood its importance. It is used for increasing self confidence and self assertion. Who does not need an increase in them. Gyan Mudra :- its benefits are already given. Gives you better concentration as also mental alertness. Other benefits are already mentioned in leaflet. In all the 3 only index finger is used which is very near thumb and while holding steering, can be done easily. Travelling in Bus, Train, Car You can do any mudra. Even if you have others there and even if you are talking to them, you can easily do any mudra. Yes if you feel shy, do the mudras which look simple and you can always disconnect. So many persons spend lot of time in traveling to and from work. Pran and Apan mudras are very good general purpose ones. Now in case you are traveling in standing pose and presuming that you are holding the rod with one hand, you can easily do any of the mudras which involves single finger. Whichever mudra is same with both hands, can be done with one hand also. Left hand talks to right brain and right hand talks to left brain. A lead time of only 2 minutes is needed. So you can hold with one hand and do any mudra and then change the hand and do with the other ones. This way even if assuming you spend 30 mts each way, you do the mudras for say 1 hour. When you travel for several hours , like from one town to another, you can choose several of the mudras. You can do the mudras in any position, lying down, standing, sitting. You can continue to talk to your friends, if need be. Some people who feel shy can put the hands in the side ways or just put a handkerchief or some cloth on them, if you do not wish others to know about it. However, it is for your own health and you should utilize the time for getting the best benefits from mudras. It is said that where there is a will, there is a way. Just you have to give importance to your health and use this inexpensive natural healing to your advantage. d.k.kothari
